The dress layed out before me is absolutely glamorous, light pink, short cut, soft fabric, definitely my kind of outfit.
"I told you it was going to resemble who you are. Pink for your sweetness, short cut to resemble your confidence and ability."
"I love it, it's absolutely marvelous!" I comment as I give him a small kiss on the cheek.
" And I was thinking we would keep your hair down and curled, to show you aren't some diamond girl from luxury."
I nod and smile. Maybe things aren't ruined after all.
"Now go into the bathroom and put on your robe and, since your hair is already washed, put it up in a towel. Amethyst will be there to discuss your tactics while I do your make up."
I snatch my robe and a white towel and twist my hair into it as I prance to the bathroom.
"Hey Glimmer! Come and sit." Amethyst says.
"Now the interview is really important, this is the only time throughout the time leading up to the games where the Capitol gets to see who you really are. So we can't mess it up."
"Sounds good, what do you want me to do?" I ask.
"Well your going I come off as sweet and bubbly, but I also want you to appear confident and determined." she instructs. "Sweet but deadly. let them know your prepared for anything."
I bite my lip and nod as Placidus plucks my eyebrows.
.
The dress is really comfortable, and looks great on. I have to say, it is a success.
Placidus stands in awe a few feet away.
"Glimmer, Glimmer, Glimmer. You gorgeous little princess."
I blush and move a piece of hair out of my face. "Thank you Placidus, and I must say you look dashing in that orange tux."
He bows and winks at me.
"Let's get going, you don't want to be late, your the first interview!" he says with excitement.
.
Once we reach the tributes's waiting area Placidus gives me a kiss on the forehead "Good luck."
"Thank you."
"Win them over."
"I will."
"You Glimmer?" a Capitol man asks me.
"Yes"
"Come with me." he says
"Ladies and Gentlemen of Panem, I bring you our very first tribute. Can everybody give it up, for Glimmer!" Caesar yells to the immense crowd.
I walk on all girly and charming.
"Hello Glimmer, how are you?!" he asks.
"I've never been better, Caesar, the Capitol is just wonderful." I say as my smile reaches the ends of my face.
"Great! Come and sit down with me." he instructs, and I do.
"Are you prepared, Glimmer?"
"Yes Caesar, I am very prepared." I say confidently.
"I must say sweetheart, you look absolutely beautiful tonight."
"Thanks you, as do you." I reply.
"Why thank you. So Glimmer, how long have you been training?"
"Well I have been practicing my skills ever since I was nine. And my abilities have grown more and more over the years."
"So do you think you have a good chance of winning?"
"If I say so myself" I reply.
"Well I wish you the best of luck, my dear."
"I nod and give him a small hug before he grabs my hand.
"Glimmer!" he shouts to the crowd, and I exit, waving to the crowd.
It's done
