Learning Experience

"Hey Ash, we have an amazing opportunity for you if you're up for a challenge." I smile getting excited.

"You know I love a good challenge, what's up?" I hear her move some papers around.

"Well I sent you their individual files, since I know you'll want to get to know them. But this small company that creates boy bands in a sense, has a new group coming around and they contacted me wanting to hire you to film them during basically everything. Now before you get too excited there are some limitations you should know about." I smile and go over to my computer, looking through my email trying to find the files.

"Yeah okay Angie, what is it?" Before she could answer I clicked on the files and I gasped. "Korean boy band?! Are you serious? This is more than a few limitations! This is a huge limitation, I barely know Spanish, and now you want me to work with Korean speaking people?!" I stand, starting to pace my room.

"Ash, Ash calm down. There's a reason I said a few. Your boss will know English, and as said in one of the files, the leader of the group knows English as well. All you have to do is film them, you don't have to communicate with anyone but your boss. It's an amazing learning experience, and trust me if you do this you'll be hired instantly here at an American company. Listen, look through the files, think it over, talk to your brother, and call me back. But they want an answer by tomorrow afternoon. They are starting their stuff in a week, getting the boys together." I sighed and slumped in my computer chair.

"Okay, okay. Thank you Angie I'll let you know. You're a star manager." She laughs and says bye. I look down at my phone before looking up at the laptop. There are seven of them. The leader, Namjoon. The lead vocalist, Seokjin. The lead dancer, Hoseok. The lead rapper, Yoongi. And then there was the younger ones, Jungkook, Taehyung, and Jimin. Reading over their files I got nervous. This could make or break my career. I get up and leave my room, walking into the kitchen where Andrew was.

"Andy, I have something to talk to you about." He nods as he cuts up peppers.

"Okay, shoot." I sighed and sat on the counter.

"Angie called a few minutes ago with a job." He turns around to look at me.

"Ash that's amazing!" I sighed. "Why aren't you excited?"

"Well there's a problem. It pays well, and it could be really awesome for my career." He looks at me funny.

"Okay I'm not seeing the problem here." I sigh again.

"It's in Korea." He stops and looks at me.

"What?"

"It's in Korea and I'd have to be gone for a long time." He goes back to cutting peppers when I said this.

"You'd be alone in Korea." He sighs. "Would anyone be able to translate for you?" I nod as he looks at me.

"The leader of the group I'll be filming speaks English and so does my boss. My boss will translate for me through it all." He nods. Putting the peppers in the pan so they can start cooking.

"I think you should do it." I stop and stare at him.

"Seriously?" I ask, unsure of it all.

"After everything that you've gone through, think of it as a well-deserved vacation." I get off the counter, heading back to my room.

"Yeah. Don't think I deserve it though." I mumbled to myself. I hear him shout from the kitchen to not be too long that dinner would be ready soon.

I walk into my room and call Angie back, but she didn't answer.

"Hey Angie, its Ash. I talked it over with Andy and he thinks it's a great opportunity. So I would like to accept the offer. It is going to be great experience and I know I'm going to learn a lot. Call me back and let me know when I'm leaving. Thanks a lot, love you bye." I sighed. Would they have all the equipment? Because I don't have anything but my camera. I sigh. This is going to be interesting.

"Ash! Food! Now!" I sigh and walked out of my room. I walk to the table and see him putting food on plates.

"It looks amazing Andy." He smiles and hugs me.

"So when do you leave." He asks, eating his food.

"All I know is that they're getting together next week, so soon." He nods eating his food.

"I'll miss you, you'll have to call me every day when you get the chance." I nod and agree. Eating a little of the food.

"Whenever I get the chance I'll call. I'm going to miss English." He laughs at me.

"You got this. It'll be a new challenge." I nod, feeling sick.

After dinner, we went to bed, but I couldn't sleep. Angie called and said that I'd have to leave tomorrow evening to get there and set up in time. She said she is going with me for a month, but after that she has to come back to America for other clients. I told her I'd be fine, but I know I'm going to be really nervous when she leaves.

________

Walking to the airport with the bags in hand, my brother on one side and Angie on the other, I wanted to cry. This is life changing. This is terrifying. Getting to my gate i stop. This is it. Turning to my brother I hug him so tight.  He breathes in deeply.

"In about a year I'll be able to save up enough to come visit." He says. I close my eyes.

"Don't you dare skip out on the important stuff." He chuckles.

"I won't don't worry." I sigh. Angie touches my shoulder.

"Last call." She whispers.

"Bye Ash, be good. I love you." I sigh heavily.

"Bye Andy, you remember to eat. I love you." He laughs pushing me towards the gate.

"I should be telling you that! Bye! Have an amazing time! Learn lots and call me!" He shouts as i walk into the plane.

Angie links onto my arm and we walk to our seats. We get comfortable and I sigh heavily.

"Id sleep if I were you.  Its a long flight." I nod. I put in my ear phones and play my music. Slowly falling asleep.

This is only the beginning isn't it?
