Simon's POV

"You're going out to have lunch, with BAZ?!" Penelope screamed.  The other students in the dining hall stopped what they were doing and looked our way. After she quieted down, they all went back to eating.

"Keep your voice down, you're gonna make a scene," I said while shushing her.  She rolled her eyes and said, "First you break up with Agatha, then you accept to go on a date with Baz."

When I found out that Agatha and I weren't meant to be, I broke up with her.  She was very upset even though she said that my name wasn't written on her wrists either.

I hadn't really thought of going out to lunch with Baz as a "date."  I mean, he is my sworn enemy, right?

I glance up at the clock and see that I only have 30 minutes, so I decide to go up and change into some presentable attire.  The chair creaks as I stand up and as I wave goodbye to Penelope.

I look through my closet, desperately trying to find something that would impress Baz. Wait, why am I trying to impress Baz? Snap out of it Simon! It's just lunch. I shake my head and pull out a pair of jeans and a white button up t-shirt. I also slip on a navy blue sweater because it looks chilly outside. I look over at the clock and see that I only have 10 minutes left until Baz comes. I quickly get dressed and head into the bathroom. The smell of cedar hits me as soon as I open the door. Baz has been here recently. Of course he has, he's your roommate. For some reason, I'm just starting to notice these little things. Like how Baz always smells like cedar and dust, and how beautifully sculpted his face is, and how his eyes make you feel as if you're on Cloud 9. I look in the mirror and see that my cheeks are cherry red. Am I really falling for Baz? After all these years?

Soon enough, Baz walks in, dressed in a black buttoned up t-shirt and black slacks that fit him perfectly. The top of his shirt is unbuttoned so that a little bit of his chest pops out. His hair looks professionally styled.  I stand there, mesmerized by his appearance.

Suddenly, Baz grabs my hand and says, "Are you just gonna stand there all day, or are we gonna go have lunch?" He doesn't seemed annoyed, amused maybe? I nod and follow him out of our room. I look down and notice that his hand is still entangled in mine. I give his hand a little squeeze as he looks back and gives me a smile that I swear to god, made my heart stop.
