Simon's POV

Baz still hasn't let go of my hand as he opens the door to the cafe.  He tells me to go get us a seat, and that he'll order for me.  I let go of his hand and instantly miss the warmth of his grasp.

I sit down at a table near the window.  I look outside and watch the people pass by.  Does Baz actually like me?  Could my name be written on his wrists?  I know that Baz's name isn't written on my wrists, but I still want to give this, whatever this is, a chance.

It's as if the past never happened, I don't feel hatred for him anymore.  The only reason why we were always fighting was because of our differences.  Since we are more mature now, we are able to put those things in the past. I look up and see Baz walking my way carrying two plates. He sets down a plate filled with cherry scones in front of me.

"You know me so well!" I say as my mouth starts to water.
"You're always eating these so I figured they were your favorite," he says. I look up at him and give him the biggest smile I have. His cheeks instantly light up. They are almost as red as the scones.

I start eating my scones, trying not to seem like a beast. I look up at Baz, my cheeks full of food, and see him let out a chuckle. His laugh is so adorable. I start laughing too, but this only makes him start to laugh more since my cheeks are so full. Soon, the whole cafe is staring at us as we laugh our asses off. Baz doesn't seem to care, it's as if his only focus was me.

After we're done laughing Baz's expression gets serious.
"Simon, there's something I need to talk to you about, and you need to tell me the truth," he says. I clench my fists under the table and nod.
"Okay, I trust you so please don't freak out okay?" he says in a soft voice. I start to get nervous about what he's going to say. My legs start shaking as he unwraps his wrists. He tosses the paper off to the side and shows me his wrists. On one side I see Simon Snow and on the other I see Simon Snow. My breathing stops as my whole body goes still. My eyes widen as I look up at Baz who looks concerned.

"Simon, what names are on your wrists?" he asks. I snap back into reality and unwrap my wrists. I look down expecting to see no names, but that's not what I see. I hear Baz take a deep breath as I look down  and see only one name engraved on my left hand, Baz.
