Trevor sat in his room writing notes that his siblings had taken for classes that he missed that morning. He read through what was required for his classes in the textbooks. As he was in the middle of his history reading, there was a knock on the door. David looked up from the book he borrowed from the library and dropped from his bed. Trevor looked up to see who was at the door.

"Trevor?" Kathey had paid them a visit. Trevor set the book down and stood from his bed.

"Yes?"

"Come with me please, don't worry about getting changed." Trevor exchanged a glance with David before following Kathey to her office. She sat at her desk and picked up a cellphone, handing it to him. Trevor recognized it as his own. "I had Sylark retrieve your cell phone for two purposes. One is to see the worry your girlfriend has had the past few days since you became sick." Kathey was silent, waiting for Trevor to open the messages.

Trevor? Baby are you ok?

Trevor?!

Baby please, talk to me!

I can't lose you...

Trevor looked up at Kathey, fear on his face; and on the brink of tears. The messages were hours apart from each other. Trevor's mind went to a scenario had he been only sick, the last three messages never would've been typed out.

"You cannot tell Amy that you and your siblings are dragons," Kathey stated.

"Will I even have a chance to be with her again?" Trevor demanded. He couldn't keep the tears from falling. He swiped at them.

"Yes, but she would be in danger. And it could be a few years. Trevor, I think you need to break this relationship off with her. I know it's hard, the love you feel for her is sincere, I can say that much. But is it really worth risking your life and hers?" Trevor stared at his phone for a moment before squeezing his eyes shut and nodding.

"I understand..." he mumbled.

"Trevor, there is a lot I could say to make my point valid. But you need to think about your future and hers. Maybe in time you might meet again and rekindle the relationship you have now." Trevor sniffled and wiped his eyes. He straightened up and typed a message to Amy.

Hey baby, are you still awake?

It only took a moment for Amy to answer.

Amy: Oh my god! Are you ok? What happened?

Trevor: I'm ok...I can't really explain much, Amy. I need you to listen closely.

Amy: Trevor? What's going on?

Before Trevor could answer, his phone started to ring. Trevor looked up at Kathey who nodded and leaned back in her chair. Trevor exhaled and answered.

"Trevor, what is going on?" Amy demanded. Trevor looked at Kathey who raised an eyebrow.

"I promised I wouldn't say much about what is going on. But...Amy...I can say this. I'm part of something that is a risk to your life."

"Trevor...are you in trouble?"

"No, I swear, I'm not, but...you're in danger if we're...together...Amy I'm sorry..."

"But...what if I joined whatever this thing is that you're in? Then I wouldn't be as big of a risk!"

"Amy, listen to me. This isn't TV or the movies, I'm sorry but we...I...I'm sorry...we're done."

"Trevor no! Please, let me do something to help you!"

"I'm sorry..." Trevor lost it and broke down into tears, hearing Amy on the other line as she started to cry as well. "I love you..." Trevor hung up and dropped his phone on Kathey's desk, burying his face in his hands. He didn't know when, but Kathey had stood from her chair and had her arms around him as he sobbed. It was a few minutes before Trevor took a deep breath and just leaned into Kathey's embrace.
