- Iris POV -
It was sometime in June, when my life changed forever.
My parents had announced they were splitting after an astounding 25 years of marriage. I didn't cry about it, neither did my older brother, Patrick.
Well, let's just say he was too busy trying to beat his friends on Call of Duty rather than going to college. He's a boring 18 year old boy who didn't even go to Prom let alone get a girlfriend.
Back to my parents, my mom was moving out to a new apartment in the city of Miami, Florida. Only about an hour from where I am right now. When she moved out I didn't cry once.. I didn't feel very bad.
She was the one who decided to have an affair with the chiropractor my dad has been seeing, she was the one who lied behind our backs, also never coming home in time to say good morning or cook breakfast.
Most of all, she was a back stabber to our family. She found a new family and still encourages us to come visit her and the kids. How can I see her with a whole different family? Happy? No.
What I really want to tell you is about the brown eyed, boy who taught me how to look past all of this, and teach me how to be myself and how to love.
• Sorry if this was bad it was sort of a filler chapter
Let me know what you think!!
