The death of Patrick is still surreal to me.

No more being tackled in the morning, or fighting over what to have for dinner.

After I left the airport that day, I sat in the drivers seat and took a moment to reflect on it.

I pressed my head against the steering wheel and closed my eyes, all of a sudden hearing a tap on my window.

I look up and see...

Oh.

One word.

G r e y s o n.

He flashes that smile as I roll down my window and look up at him confused.

"Hey Iris! How are things?" he chews his gum loudly.

Ugh, so obnoxious.

"What are YOU doing here?" I roll my eyes.

"Dropping my girlfriend off, what about you?" he smiles.

"Still the same old girl?" I reply.

"I can hear you." she yelled sticking her head in my face.

"I have a suggestion, you two get on your way and I drive awa--"

"So who's this Aaron guy?" Greyson asks looking at his phone.

"Why does it matter to you?"

"I just wanted to know, give me a break."

"Quit snooping on me and go drop off your so called "girlfriend.""

"Whatever. See you soon, Iris." He winked before walking hand in hand with that girl.

I can't believe he's still dating that slut.

I start the ignition and I'm on my way back to pack up once again, but this time for home.

"Hey boyyyyyy." I say throwing my bag on the ground and sitting next to Aaron.

"Hey girlllll." he smiles looking up at me.

"Whatcha doin?"

"Looking at new pictures of Greyson that Candice sent me."

"Awh, when will I get to meet your family? I mean obviously I've talked to them but not face to face and I wanna see cute little Greyson."

"Soon." He laughs.

I stand up and kick the top of my suitcase open and groan seeing all the piles of messed up clothes.

"Ughhhhhh, I don't like packing."

"Me neither." He shuts off his phone and stands up.

"What about a little music to cheer the mood up?" I smile unlocking my phone and putting on some Maroon 5.

I sing along to it as I grab my clothes and start to fold them.

"When the daylight comes I'll have to goooo"

Aaron chuckled at my singing and joined in.

"Oooooooooohwoahwoahwoah"

"So melodramatic", I thought to myself.

In a matter of no time my clothes were folded neatly in my suitcase. I shut the top and zipped it happily.

I checked the time on my phone while plopping on the bed, Aaron doing the same.

"It's about 10 o' clock... we should go to bed," I tell Aaron as I set the cursed alarm for 5:30.

"Ugh, why are plane rides so early?"

"Who knows," I sigh pulling a sweatshirt over my head.

"I'm pooped."

"Why so?" Aaron turned towards me smiling.

"I had a little incident at the airport actually," I rolled over to face him also.

"On a scale of fantastic to potato, how was it?" He smirked.

"I think.. like cat litter bad."

"Oh. That's not good. Explainnnnn."

"Well, I ran into.. um.. Greyson."

"Greyson?! The douchebag or my nephew?" He rose his eyebrow suspiciously.

"Does Greyson have a girlfriend?"

"Not that I know of," He smiled.

"Then it was the douchebag."

"What was he doing there?"

"I didn't really get a chance to ask him, neither did I want to. So I drove back here as fast as I could to get away from him and that...yanno."

"Well, we'll be leaving all that behind as we fly to Florida." He kissed my forehead before turning off the lamp.
