CHAPTER EIGHT: DUSTIN HENDERSON

Dustin Henderson, another one of her best friends, adored her new curls that sat on her head. The night she came back, his ever present cap came off his head and was sat on her head all night.

31st October - 1st November 1984
Dustin smiled seeing the girl who Mike missed with all his heart and soul. Mike wasn't the same after El disappeared.
So when he saw El practically passed out in Mike's arms, with Mike having a large grin plastered on his face. Dustin knew that Mike finally had the other half of his heart was home.
El was home. And so was Mike.

22nd July 1985
Dustin watched as El and Will had their usual sibling scrap, even though they aren't birth siblings - they act like the Wheeler siblings.
"I TOLD YOU THAT THE BOWL WAS MINE!" Will shouted, holding half the bowl in his hands.
"IT'S MINE!" El exclaimed, holding the other half of the bowl in her hands. Both their hands were going white when suddenly the bowl (which was full of milk and Captain Crunch cereal) slipped from their hands and smashed into millions of pieces.
Dustin watched from the sidelines as tears welled up in El's eyes and she (rather quickly) began to cry and the broken bowl and spilled cereal.
Dustin continued to watch from the sidelines as his best friend, Mike, wrapped his arms tightly around her and they both gently swayed back and forth.
What Dustin couldn't hear was the sweet, loving noises coming from Mike and to El's ear.
