CHAPTER NINE: MAX

Max, was El's only girl best friend, taught her how to ride her skateboard. Only it didn't go well, as El ended up with a broken arm and a fractured shoulder blade.

31st October - 1st November 1984
The first time Max meets El is Halloween and El is passed out in Mike's arms. Max looks curiously at the girl in Mike's arms. Mike, Lucas and Dustin are smiling happily. It's the first time she's ever since Mike smile this brightly, happily... freely.
El was covered, from head to toe: in prickles from the rose bush Lucas pulled her out of; slime and goo on her dress; twigs and leaves in her hair; and some kind of other-world substance.
Max had heard a lot about the little girl who has saved 3 boys she barely knew, 1 she knew practically nothing about and all of Hawkins from the Demogorgon.
Max watched from the sidelines with Will, as El came around and was smothered by Lucas, Dustin and Mike. Max met the amazing little girl, that she was fortunate to meet.

12th June 1996
Max sat on the sofa with a bowl of popcorn on her lap as her and El Wheeler the second season of F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
El laughed, and her head fell on Max's shoulder. Max smiled and rested her head on top of hers.
"I miss moments like these," El said, smiling.
"I know, since you had your babies, we haven't talked as much," Max said, looking down at El's new born daughter resting soundly on her stomach.
El smiles down at her baby girl, she gently strokes the top of her head which has black, crazy curls growing.
"But look at you," Max then cooes stroking the baby's cheek. "Look how beautiful you are,"
El smiled from her seat, as her best friend cooed over her new born baby girl.
"If she's anything like her daddy, she's gonna be a heartbreaker."
