The Runner (Feitan x Reader)

Chapter 9

While I was doing my job, I couldn't take my thought off of the person or shank that talk to my mind last night.

Who was he? Can I talk to him again?

With that thought, I close my eyes to talk to the unknown shank. This is to also prove if I was dreaming last night or not. Which I was hoping that I wasn't but I have no idea why I'm hoping for it to be real.

Hello? 

Hello? Anyone there?

Mr. No one?

Mr. Anyone?

Mr. Someone?

I opened my eyes and sigh, thinking that it was a dream but I have this urge to try again one last time.

Mr. Grumpy? Are you there?

What do you want?!

I shot my eyes open and smiled, knowing that he's real then closed it again.

You're real!

Of course I'm real! Now what do you want?! It's better be important because you too annoying! I'm in the middle of my job here!

I looked around, looking for anyone who has their eyes close.

If you're in the middle of your job, then you would have your eyes close right?

I don't need to keep my eyes close just to talk to you telepathy

Oh...

I opened my eyes and talk to him.

Can you still hear me?

Of course I can, I'm not that deaf

Cool! This is amazing! Can you also do this to other people?!

How should I know? You're the first one who I tried this with and it work. Anyway, will you stop talking to me otherwise I'll get lose on my way

I was about to reply back but was interrupted by Hina.

"Greenie-san, you're doing it wrong." She pointed down at the wood that I was suppose to smooth it out.

"O-oh, whoops." I finished what I was doing and stood up.

You still there?

No response. I guess he was gone but before that, he left me a clue of who could he be when he said 'Stop talking to me otherwise I'll get lose on my way'

Who could he be? From what I collected, he could be someone who's running somewhere because he said he'll get lost... wait, running? A Runner! He's a Runner! Great job... Greenie.

After building the hut, which I did lots of mistake on, dinner came.

"Hey Greenie! So how was your job today?" Killua went to me and we both get our trays, then went to sit down at our normal table.

"I don't know, tiring? I made a lot of mistakes." I replied honestly.

"It's alright Greenie-san, there's still plenty more job out there that can suit you. I'm sure you'll find one." Hina came near us with a cute smile. "I just came here to stop by and say hi so now I'm leaving."

"So which one will I try tomorrow?" I ask Killua while putting a spoonful of potato in my mouth.

"Cooking is your next job." He replied.

Before anyone could say anything, Kurapika, Leorio and Gon came.

"Hey there Miss!" Gon wave and I waved back.

"You know, it's kinda weird calling me Miss." I giggled and he just shrug.

"Eh, can't helpt it." He put a spoonful of potatoes in his mouth that came from Killua's plate.

"Hey! That's mine!" Killua shouted and Gon chuckled. "Why you..."

Killua charged at Gon and they started throwing food at each other.

"Food fight!" Leorio shouted and threw a mashed potato at me but I dodged it and it landed on Kurapika.

"Children! Don't you have shame on wasting the foo-!" Kurapika yelled but was stop when Killua threw another mashed potato at him.

"You asked for it!" Kurapika joined the food fight and soon everyone was throwing food at everyone.

I felt sorry for the wasted food but I joined the fun. I aimed at Bisky, who was ten metres away from me but she dodged it and it landed on Feitan.

All of the sudden, everyone stop as if it's the end of the world.

"Oh no, why did you hit him Greenie?" Bisky ask and I raise an eyebrow.

"But I was aiming at you." I pointed at her and before she could say something, Feitan interrupted her.

"Why did you hit me!" Feitan exclaimed while slamming his hands on the table.

Almost everyone jumped in fear and took a step back from him. He lock his gaze at me then started walking towards me.

"Who do you think you are Newbie!" He shouted.

"Look, that was an accident. I was aiming for Bisky an-" I was cut off when he yelled at me again.

"You dare talk back to me!" Somehow, I didn't feel fear.

It was like this event is just normal for me. As if I've met him before and I was not afraid to talk back even though the other people are scared of him.

"So what if I talk back at you? That's the reason why everyone has a voice right? If I don't talk back then what? You would be talking to nothing right? I mean, that would be stupid if the person you're talking to is not talking back." I laugh then put a hand on my hip. "Don't tell me you are stupid?"

I gave him a challenging look and he glared at me.

"Do you even know who you're speaking with?" His tone becamelow as he stop at least half a metre away from me.
