The Runner (Feitan x Reader)

Chapter 13

Neferpitou's POV

After the Greenie finished her trial, I bid her goodbye. I then went to the meeting hall with the other Keepers. I then felt a presence beside me.

"How did she go?" He ask and I sigh.

"Unfortunately, she has great knowledge on being a Med-Jack. She has skills that other Med-Jack doesn't have and... I would say that she has the same potential as you." After I replied, I felt something pushing me against the tree and it was him pinning me.

"So are you saying that she passed?" He questions, fear was shown in his eyes but he was trying to hide it.

"Tell me, why do you care about her so much?" As soon as I ask him, he widen his eyes and he was confuse.

"I... I... I also don't know but..." He sigh and I already knew what he was trying to say.

"I see..." I trailed off and I lock my gaze into his. "But I do apologize because someone like her is very rare in the Glade. I must give Kite the correct report otherwise a talent like hers would go to waste."

I push him back and started walking away.

Now this is interesting...

We all sat down in our seat and Kite started the introduction which I didn't really listened until he got to the part where we have to report about the Greenie.

"Let's start with you Pouf." Kite said and Pouf stood up.

"Well as you can see..." Pouf rant on and on about the garden and finally about the Greenie. "And all I could say about the Greenie is she did well. That's all."

That means Pouf wasn't really about the Greenie. She didn't past on being a Track-hoe

"Uvogin..."

"She is strong, that all I can say but not as skilled to be a Builder. I could say that she's as strong as Hina but she just doesn't have the potential to be a Builder."

Interesting...

"Pitou?" As soon as Kite called my name, I glance at a certain someone and saw his pleading eye to lie but I ignored him and stood up.

"From what I could see, she can become a Runner." I went straight to the point and I heard everyone, except Feitan, gasping.

"How so?" There was an amusement shown on Kite's eyes and I close my eyes while smiling.

"You see, when I sniffed her today, I immediately knew that she was going to be a Runner. Her body is nothing like the other female. She's... unique. Let's just say, she's like... me. Her skills and knowledge on being a Med-Jack surpasses almost every members on Med-Jack and it is almost near to what I can do." Everyone's eyes was on me and Kite seems to be in a deep thought.

"So that's why you reacted that way." I heard Killua commented and I smiled.

"And to add for that, I think being a Runner suits her." I finished and Kite rub his chin.

"I see... then Feitan I want you to give her the most hardest trial tomorrow. If what you say is correct, then she would make a big contribution on finding a way out here. Now, let us talk about the upcoming Hunter exam."

I can't wait for the Hunter exam!

Reader's POV

"So... do you think I'll pass being a Med-Jack?" I ask Killua while putting a spoonful of smashed potatoes in my mouth.

"Hmmm, from what I could see in Pitou's face, I think she seems to be interested in you." He replied and I grin.

"R-really?!"

"Yeah, I haven't seen those face in a very long time. The last time she had that face was when... Feitan was having his trial on being a Med-Jack." I felt my heart pace quicken but I ignored it.

"I see... but Feitan became a Runner right?"

"While of course!" Killua exclaim and his eyes were filled with jealousy. "I mean, he did better at the Hunter exam than me."

"The Hunter exam? What's that?" I ask him and he widen his eyes as if he just said one of the most important information in the whole world.

"Well..." He was about to speak but something or someone slammed our table.

"Yo Greenie! I heard that you did well on being a Med-Jack! I just want to congratulate you!" It was Shalnark who slammed his hands on the table then he sat down beside me.

At the same time, Feitan and Pakunoda entered the room. Feitan's eyes then scanned the room until it stop on me. I widen my eyes then quickly looked away. I felt my heart skip a beat but I ignored it.

I saw Shalnark smiling like he was planning something then he put his arms around me and pulled me closer to him.

"You look cute Greenie." He said then stood up. "Alright everyone, this Greenie is mine okay! Now if anyone wants to object speak now before I kiss her!"

"W-what are you doing?" I ask him.

"Well here you can claim someone and if nobody objects or the person you're trying to claim objetcs, then they're all yours." He explained and I was about to object but he whispered something at me. "Just go with the flow and help me out on this one."

I didn't understood what he meant but I couldn't speak at that time.
