Chapter 12

After I calmed down, I tried remembering what my dream is about but it's like it was never there. As if I didn't even had a dream. I couldn't remember a thing. I tried again and again but to no avail, I failed.

"What is wrong with this place!" I yelled and laid back down while massaging my temple.

Oi!

Greenie!

I got a fright on the voice and look around but there was nobody there. I then remember the guy whom I was talking in my mind before.

Hi? What do you want?

I want to ask you something

About Feitan earlier...

When he went into your hut, what did you feel when... he pinned you down the ground?

I was shock at he question because only Feitan and I knew about that event.

Could it be Feitan? I ask myself without letting the guy hear it.

But then I remember that it wasn't only Feitan who knew about what happened.

Because first of all, I do not know who you are and second, I don't share my personal information to a stranger

Fine, I will tell you who I am IF you tell me what you felt earlier towards Feitan

I sigh and thought about it then finally agreed.

Fine, to be honest I didn't quite actually know what I felt. My heart just started beating so fast and loud and when I stared into his eyes, it was as if I got lost in them. Like... I just want to be with him and... it like I already know him and I'm suppose to be with him. Do you get what I mean?

Silence, that's all I got after I explained what I was feeling.

Neferpitou's POV

I was playing with my blanket when suddenly, someone knocked on the door. As soon as I opened it, the person went inside and sat on my couch.

"Ah-erm, I did not ask you to come in." I said and he lock his gaze on me, showing me that he has something serious to say.

"I have a favour to ask you." He started speaking and I sat at the opposite side of him, showing him that I've got his attention.

"Speak." I demanded.

"I want you to fail the Greenie on being a Med-Jack tomorrow." As soon as he said this, I widen my eyes.

"Now why would you want me to do that?"

"Just do it... please." I was shock as his reaction.

He's not normally like this towards someone, especially a female. I could see in his eyes that he deeply care about the Greenie and that... he have other feelings towards her.

"May I ask why?" I questioned and he sigh.

"I'm not really sure as well but..."

Reader's POV

The next day, before Killua could even knock on my door, I opened it and he got a fright.

"Well someone's early today." He said and I shrug.

"So what's my next job?" I questioned, ignoring what he just said.

"You'll be working in the Med-Jacks." As soon as he said that, a smile made its way on my face. "Why are you smiling like a creepy person?"

"Cause I feel like I'm going to do great in this job!" I squealed and he looked at me weirdly.

"Oooo... kay? Haven't seen anyone getting excited being a Med-Jack in a long time." He stated and I gave him a confuse face.

"What do you mean by that?" I ask and from that moment, fear was shown on his eyes but he turned around to hide it.

"I'll tell you all about it on the way to Med-Jack." He replied and started talking.

I ran after him and watch him from behind. His head was facing down the ground and his hands were in his pockets. I was about to ask him what's wrong but decided to wait till he talk.

"Being a Med-Jack is not an easy task. You know, trying to save someone's life but then in the end... they die and all you can do is... cry because you couldn't save them." I saw sadness in his eyes and somehow I could feel what he was feeling.

"I see..." Was all I can say but was still determined that I'm going to past being a Med-Jack.

"Well, here you are and... good luck. I'll be watching you." Killua said as we entered the Med-Jack's hut.

"Hmmm, you must be the Greenie." A woman with white hair and cat headband said.

This must be Neferpitou...

"Nice to meet you Greenie." She put out a hand and when I was about to take it, she held it up my head and started... sniffing me.

"Uhh..." I look at Killua to know what she was doing and he gave me a reassuring look.

"It's how she figures out your talent... like what job you could have in the future." He trailed off then sweat-drop. "I don't know how she does it but she's been getting everything correctly."

"The name's Neferpitou but call me Pitou for short." She said and continued sniffing me.

In the end, I saw her widen her eyes then it was back to normal.

"I see... come this way." She made a hand gesture and I followed her.

This is it! I must past this job no matter what!
