Sunday

"Yow Soph. Wake up." A voice said.

 "Uuuggggghhh." I answered.

"Sophie, wake up." It was Charlie. He reached over my back and started shaking me vigorously.

"Leave me aloneee." Covering my face with a pillow.

It was the day after the competition against Augustus College of Bukidnon and I was drop dead tired.

We won by the way, 25-18.

He grabbed my blanket and started tickling my feet. "Dude. Not cool, okay?" I said, rubbing my eyes. "What time is it anyway?"

"It's 12nn."

"What? So I just spent like half of the day sleeping. Wow. Really productive." I said sarcastically while fixing my bed. He chuckled.

I stood up and went to the bathroom. "Coach Rey called." He called out.

"Really? What did she say?" I shouted.

"Your school will be having a victory party tonight. 6pm. Semi-formal."

"Oh, that's great."

"Hey Soph, Mom prepared your brunch downstairs."

"Yeah sure. I'll go down after I take a bath."

"Okay." He left and shut the door.

So my school will be holding a victory party later? Wow. That's nice. But I'm so tired.  I just want to sleep for the rest of the afternoon. I better call Hannah and Claire to see if they're coming.

It was a cloudy afternoon, so I decided to wear my pink shorts and my adventure time sweatshirt.

When I finished changing clothes, I grabbed my phone and dialed Hannah's number.

There were a few rings before Hannah picked up her phone, "Hey what's up?" she said.

"Have you heard about the victory party tonight?" I asked.

"Oh yeah, the Student Government posted it on facebook last night. Congrats by the way! You really deserved it, Soph." She answered.

"Thanks! Are you coming? Is everyone coming?"

"Everyone is invited, but it's not compulsory or anything. Why?"

"I don't want to go."

"What the damn hell?!" Her voice rose. "The victory party is for you guys. And you're not coming? What the hell is wrong with you?" I laughed. Hannah always overreacts.

There was this one time, while we were having our sewing class, I accidentally placed a finger closer to the scissor so a small part of my skin was cut off and yeah, it was bleeding but not too much then Hannah got so hysterical and started panicking. She said that I might die in severe blood loss. It's a good thing that we had a first aid kit in our class and Sherwin placed a pressure in my wound to stop it from bleeding and wrapped it with a band aid.

Oh good times.

"I'm really tired." I answered, lying on my bed.

"Please come. I heard they're giving you an award. MVP I guess? I know you don't want to miss getting that award." What? They're giving me an award?
