ACQUAINTANCE PARTY

It was already 5:30pm and tamang tama lang, katatapos lang akong ayusan ng make-up artist.

"Thanks." I said.

I looked myself at the mirror and smiled. I look so pretty with my curly hair and red gown.

"Tapos na ba kayo? Malalate na tayo!" Claire said.

We were at the salon, getting ready for our acquaintance party. I was with my girlfriends: Claire, Hannah and Rose.

We all wore elegant gowns, which made us look so sophisticated. Yes, we were all wearing gowns. Who wouldn't be pressured to wear a gown? eh sa isang five-star hotel iheheld yung party namin tapos Masquerade pa yung theme. It's like we are going to a ball and not an Acquaintance Party.

Chos! Lumelevel up na yung MLS. Go lng ng go!

"Last year, my sister told me that their Acquaintance Party was only held at the gym pero bakit sa atin sa isang five star hotel?" Rose asked.

"Earl told me na malaki yung nasave ng program officers sa year-end fundraising nla, kaya ayun. May budget." I answered as I was holding my gown and walked towards the elevator.

"Huy pong pagong!" Claire said to Hannah "Bilisan mo nga ang paglalakad mo kundi iiwan ka namin!"

"Don't you even dare!" Hannah gasped "I paid for the rental car. So I'm the boss here." She laughed.

When  we got out of the mall, we immediately went to the car and had gone to the hotel.

During our ride to the hotel, we all took some pictures for remembrance. Babae eh, di maiwasang maging vain.

When we arrived at the hotel, the doors of the function room where the party was going to be held was already open and it seemed like all of the students were already inside. 

We went inside and sat at our designated tables. Ofcourse since it's an Acquaintance Party you often get the chance to seat with your friends since you'll be assigned to other tables to hang out and talk to different students. But luckily, I have the same table with my friends. Thanks Earl!

I looked around and saw the beautiful set up of our party.

On the stage you can see a really big mask and a sign saying "MLS ACQUAINTANCE PARTY 2012". And then, at the back of the room there is a photobooth. And if you'd look at the ceiling, you could see different colors of cloth that are placed at the corner of the room that meets up at the center.

I looked around and spotted some of my classmates, I smiled and waved at them.

"The program officers did great on our Acquaintance Party." I said to Hannah then she smiled.

The program started after a couple of minutes. There were some singing and dance numbers from the students, as well as some of the faculty members, there were also some speeches given by our Dean and well you know what happens else in a party, right?

There are only two things that I look forward during a party, it's dinner and party time. 

I looked around and noticed the waiters carrying big metal containers and placed them in a long table, there I realized that there was a buffet that was going to happen. I got excited all of a sudden.
