Meygan's Point Of View
It had hit 8:30, Dave was back and kept trying to make me leave, as was Jhanene, I just wanted to be alone.
I walked out. No. I ran out the diner, I was still crying and honestly didn't know where I was going, just anywhere but home. I started running down the street, but as soon as I did I started to hear cars, I ran down an alleyway and hid, watching the black vans creeping around. He knew I ran off, and now he was looking for me. Once I saw the coast was clear I made my way down the street some more, I heard my stomach growl, I didn't take my break so I hadn't ate, and me being hungry, tired, scared and pregnant by myself on The West side of town wasn't a good combination. I had no money to get food, my phone was dead and flats aren't good walking shoes, my feet were killing me but I just couldn't go home. I ducked away hiding myself from another van, they were coming around faster now, like someone had spotted me. I went to turn down an alley when I heard a blood curdling scream and the rattling of chains.
I held my breath, I was hidden in the shadows but turned my head to look at what was happening. The person was bloody, face unrecognizable and Travis was standing there with a mask over his face and his once white shirt was splattered with almost as much blood that the mask and chain had. The chain was dripping and the person's bloody face was crying out "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry for the things I did." Travis grip got tighter on the chains "you think sorry is gonna fix this! That crate was worth more than you're fucking life!" He dropped the chain and started beating the poor soul, the guys were watching him as Travis took all his anger and frustration out on the person untill they no longer trying to fight back. He stood up and his boot took a hard blow to that person's ribs and they coughed up blood and had spit out a couple of teeth, but Travis wasn't finished. He pulled a gun out of his pants and cocked it. The man closed his eyes ready to accept his fate. "D-D-Daddy?" Everyone turned, a little girl was standing at the end of the alleyway in her pajamas holding a teddy bear. The little girl look familiar, then I realized why. Travis put away the gun and looked at her "Julie...this man is your daddy?" Julie backed up "Mr. Travis? I-i-is that you?" Travis pulled his mask off, Julie's eyes were filing with tears "But... you're supposed to be a good guy. You play with me at the pharmacy..." Julie's father laid on the ground trying to get up. "Julie he's a bad man, get away from him." Julie looked at Travis then looked down "He's my friend. He's nice to me daddy." Her father spat out more blood "He's not nice, he doesn't have a good bone in his body. Bet his girl even wants to get away from him." Travis body tensed and he looked into the shadows, I felt my body freeze when his eyes locked into mine.
Travis picked up Julie and looked at her "Julie. Is your father a good man?" Julie wouldn't speak. Travis was looking into her eyes "Julie were the stories you told me you heard true." Julie looked at her father tears streaming down her face by now "Daddy yells alot, I don't like hearing it and sometimes he gets angry and takes it out on mommy.." Travis was wiping her eyes "Julie. That's not how you and your mommy should live, you and your mommy need to get away from him." His eyes locked with mine again "Get out here right now." I took a couple of steps out there, once I got into the light I heard some of the guys wince, they were looking at my face. When Travis hit me earlier it wasn't like his normal hits, it was harder. Way harder. Like he was in the ring with the intention of knocking someone out, like how he was just beating Julie's father.
Travis handed me Julie "Take her home. One of the guys will take y'all and you will go to the warehouse and wait for me to get back." I nodded and Marcus, one of Travis' right hand men came and put me in the van and drove us to Julie's.
The building was old and Julie held on tight to me. I walked to the door and knocked. A woman came and opened it, she was young, looked about the same age as me considering Julie's father looked in his about late 20s. Julie held onto her mom as her mom did to her. Julie was still crying "mommy he's not coming back." Her mother was hold her close "Who Julie." I butted in "sorry. But. Julie's father. He isnt- he probably won't make it back." Julie's mother looked confused "What?" I sighed, my hands were getting clammy "Your husband was caught by The Lycans. Beast has him right now..." Her eyes were filing with tears "No...no...please God no." I couldn't look at her "I'm sorry." I waved bye to Julie and went and got into the car. Marcus started to drive to the warehouse.
It was quiet as we drove I looked at Marcus "So... I know you're real name is Marcus but what do they call you like inside the Ga-Group." I almost slipped Travis told me never to call them a Gang. Most of the men hates being called that and Travis most of all hated being called a Gang Leader. They were a Club, a Group. That sometimes did bad things but they were not a Gang nor were they thugs, or gangsters. But everyone knew that they were a Gang. "Viper. They call me Viper." I was confused "why viper?" Marcus pulled up his jacket sleeve to show a snake wrapped around his arm. Like a real life snake. "WHY THE HELL DO YOU HAVE A FUCKING SNAKE WRAPPED AROUND YOUR ARM!" Marcus laughed "He's my pet. Always with me. He's a King Cobra so yeah he will kill you." The snake Hissed at me before going back inside Marcus sleeve and coming back up on his shoulder. I stayed quiet the rest of the drive.
Marcus parked and got out. The warehouse was dark since no one was there but the security system was active. Marcus walked to the door keying in the code and the doors unlocked. I went in before him standing there in the darkness. I hated being here during the day. This was first time actually being here and examining the place and it was alot creepier at night. Marcus turned the lights on. And everything came to life. All the computers and generators came on. Guys started coming from upstairs half dressed. And they all had the same pained expression when they saw my face. I looked down, Marcus took me into Travis' office and locked the door. I sat down in his chair, I heard rustling and looked around, nothing was there. I felt something touch my leg and I screamed.
