Travis' Point Of View
Finally we arrived at the old prison. The place seemed familiar, I could see flashes of it in my memory but I don't recall why? But it looked like it was still running at the time.
I got out the car, my mind was bouncing all over the place, my father's voice still in my head of course. But I wasn't paying attention to him, my mind was only telling me to focus on her. The guys unloaded guns and ammo and we're ready to go out with a fight if they had to. They were always prepared to give thier lives for me and in exchange they for my trust and loyalty. I would do the same for them.
Elijah opened the van door, His high tech gadgets lighting up in different colors. "She's in there, but the building is surrounded. They know we're out here, and they won't come out. It's like they're waiting for us to come to them." I wiped my face "Of course they are... that means they're properly trained in the art of killing. They're true hunters, boys... y'all ever fight some Marine's?" Elijah looked confused "What makes you think Marines?" I chuckled "Meygan told me lots about her family, how her father is such a drill sergeant that their base camp is perfect. Not a person out of place. Her father has killed people in the public eye without anyone knowing, John Griffin is one of the most deadliest assassin's in the United States. And this is his game, so boys, I don't think we're going to make it out alive, so call your mothers, and your wives and your babies and tell them you may not be coming home tonight, because this is a suicide mission. What were about to walk into is a snake pit."
I saw all my men whipping out their phones, Marcus wouldn't. I looked at him "Viper. Why are you not calling?" He looked at me "Jhanene is working late. She won't answer anyway. And she knows that if I don't come home it's because I've died with you." I nodded my head. Marcus nodded back, our sign of a smile when everyone else was around. I turned to my men, they were all stone faced and ready to go. I pulled my blade out "let's go get my woman."
This once being a prison there was only one way in and one way out. We got closer to the front doors and I froze. The memory flooded back into me.
I walked into the prison with my father, it was father's day so I had to spend all day with him and my grandpa. James "Barbarian" Hart was the most deadliest man alive, He had finally got caught in a drug bust on the West coast bringing in 300,000 pounds of cocaine. It was one of the biggest bust in history. I shook as we walked into the visitation room. My grandpa was huge, His silver hair cut short and his eyebrow slit with his piercing in place. His piercing blue eyes screamed crazy, you knew he'd seen some shit. And his arms, you couldn't see his skin from all the ink not to mention my grandmother's name that snaked around his arm. My grandmother lived in a nursing home even though she hated it. We had to go pull her out 3 times for trying to cut a nurse. But her and my Grandfather still loved each other no matter the countless times they tried to kill each other.
James' stone cold eyes matched his voice "Well Travis, you aren't going to tell your old man happy father's day?" I was shaky "Yes, Sir.. I did." He looked at me, his crazy eyes wide "what's wrong with you. You look shaken kid." My body was shaking "N-n-nothing..."
My father snorted "The kids a bitch. That's all that's wrong with him, he needed to be raised by you and not me." My grandfather nodded "Teach him how to be a real man."
~End of Flashback~
Am I a real man now dad? Huh James?
That's the only thing that was on my mind as I stormed in, my men were calling for me but I wasn't listening. As I ran in I could hear all the bullets going off. Everything was blurred around me. Most of the guns were abandoned, my guys and his were going hand to hand combat. There was no way we should be able to beat these fucking assassins but he doesn't realize we're psychos.
I looked around, I saw her pretty red hair being took around the corner. I knew her hair color by heart. The stairwell was across the room but there was a opening a bit away from me. I took off full speed, one of the Assassins saw my target and was coming for me. I picked up my speed and jumped reaching the ledge. He had my leg, I kicked him off but he wasn't seeming to let go, I fell with him, I landed on my arm and heard the crack. It triggered something inside me and a wave of memories hit me.
I remembered everything that happened that night with my father, most importantly, I saw Meygan. I let out a gut wrenching scream, the pain was horrible, but I couldn't let it stop me. The assassin was under me, I reached back with my good arm and grabbed a fist full of hair and slammed his head against the hard cement. I jumped up and tried to jump back up on the ledge only to struggle to pull myself up with one arm, I felt a push from below and saw one of the Assassin's pushing me up there, another was pulling me up.
The one that was pulling me up, all I could see was the same piercing green eyes I fell in love with, but these were sterner. Once I got up I looked at the person behind me, same green eyes but softer. Both pulled off thier mask, the stern green eyes belonged to a guy "I'm not going to hurt you. I want my sister safe and she's not safe with our dad, so you better buckle down and watch my ass and I watch yours so we don't fuck up." The other mask came off, and I thought I was dead. The girl looked alot like Meygan almost twins. She chuckled "we're triplets, I'm Melissa, this is Ryan and you know Meygan." They ran ahead of me checking for other assassin's I followed close behind, my arm throbbing but barley. They led me to a room, they stopped before we could go in. I saw the man circling Meghan and I knew I knew him from somewhere. His peppered hair, army tats, this man I knew, but from where I couldn't remember then it hit me.
Flashes of his face flew through my brain, him younger with pictures of my mom, dad and another red headed lady, visions of him and my dad in the living room, this man had been in my life for awhile... so had Meygan. How did I forget her...
I pushed past Meygan's siblings, they tried to grab me but we're too late. I walked in there. Meygan sat in the cage and looked at me with a different type of gleam in her eye. It was a gleam I wasn't used to. "Meg-" I was cut off, her father stepped in front of me "How are you even alive!" I backed up a bit, he was bigger than me, I had fought guys all the time bigger than me, but his stature and presence made him an even bigger threat. I tried to look him in the eye but he made it impossible, I felt as if I did, it would be like staring into the pits of hell.
I went to speak to tell him off, but as soon as my mouth opened to say something I blacked out.
