Falling Water

Chase H. and Shaun

"Extra, extra, read all about it! District 10 bombed,"the newsboy was hollering. Everybody in District 8 ran over to the boy to get their paper. The boys saw the bad news. Tons of people had died. It was terrible. The boys brought the paper back to their parents. "Look," they screamed. "Wow,"their parents muttered. "It looks like conditions in District 10 were very bad. The capital overreacted to the escape of the prisoners." The parents had the family do a prayer for the fallen and survivors of the District 10 attack. The boys went upstairs to go to bed. Chase H asked his father,"Dad, I am scared that the capital is going to attack the village." Dad replied back,"I am too, but we don't have any citizens that were escaped or helped escape the prisoners in a Happy Prison. Shaun had some strange dreams that night. The president had a cupcake suit on and the country was called "Candy Land." Then, the boys woke up. Shaun was still creeped out over his dream. Chase H. didn't have any crazy dreams like Shaun. His parents had great news to share with the boys. They said,"The pickings were supposed to be today, but they were postponed indefinitely. The boys celebrated. That means that they are almost guaranteed not having to go to the Thirsty Games and look for clues like the contestants last year had. Instead of going to the pickings, they went to school. Chase and Shaun listened to Ms. Carton's normal chant about Geometry. "Watch this everybody! That's the tangent, and the point it touches is the line of tangency." Chase was passing notes with his girlfriend Devin.

"Want to hang out after school?"
Chase H.

Devin furiously wrote back a reply as the bell was about to ring.

"Sure! They would be tots fun!"

Later, Chase H. and Devin hanged out at Devin's house. It was one of the nicest houses in the district with large glass chandeliers and a big fancy elevator. Afterwards, the ate at the finest Italian cuisines in District 8. "Fiveashe's,"Chase hollered. "That is my favorite Italian restaurant in the world!" At Fiveashe's, papa Fiveashe makes pizza in a large wood fired oven. It was very romantic as Chase H. and Devin shared a Cheese calzone as the cheese was strung from each of their mouthes. "Chase?"Devin asked."Do you think that there could be a civil war?" Chase replied back,"Yes. There most certainly could."The couple then went back home to their own houses and went to bed with each if them having the fear of a war.
