My loved ones went away
Only strangers came to stayThis is not a dream, but a nightmare
That became a reality
Those I held so dearly,
Were taken away from meThose little things, I took for granted
Of precious moments, way back then
Are all I have, to cling too
They never seemed, important thenThe dreams, we dreamed together
Are like footprints in the sand
The wind of change, have swept them away
No trace can now be foundI'm living now in silence
With only echoes from the past
Voices in the distance
From a heaven, that's so vastYes my dream, became my very own nightmare
The hands of time are still
Although memories will never fade,
And I know they never will
