Keegan P.O.V

It had been a month and some change since I've been freed. It felt good but something still didn't feel right. I won't lie almost every single day I thought about Jason. I never really knew just how much I missed his presence.

I felt like a zombie working each and every day. I was at work but I wasn't at work if that made sense. The last person I expected to be here was still here and I didn't make him quit like I really should have but he did let me punch on him a little.

I know y'all are probably thinking I'm a fool for keeping Elliot around but he's like a piece of Jason. It was all his fault to be honest but I really did enjoy the short term friendship we had.

"Keegan. I really just want to let you know how sorry I am. I didn't have a choice" was the first words that came out of Elliot's mouth when he saw me coming into work. Nobody was here but him. I took that as a time to hit him and take my anger out on him mostly because he was the one who put me in the damn auction.

"You will not talk to me. You will not look at me. Stay out of my way and I'll stay out of yours" I said when I really should have been firing him. He was young and dumb and I knew people made mistakes but it still took time. I probably wouldn't have met Jason if it weren't for him.

"Okay Keegan" He said with his head down and walking away from me. This was about a month ago. This has been our relationship ever since and I didn't know when I would completely forgive him.

I guess I was expecting a better apology or something major but I was over it at the moment. I came in everyday like I would have normally. Today's workload went by super fast and I sent everybody home.

I was finally closing up all I had to do was dump the trash and that was that. I grabbed up the last of the trash and headed to the back. I heard a noise out of nowhere and it wasn't in my nature to stick around to figure it out either. I dropped the bag outside and closed the door.

I wasn't that person in the movies that had to explore shit and I definitely loved my life. I turned off the kitchen light and heard the noise again. That only made me fly to the front door and into the busy streets but before I could open the door someone grabbed me and slammed me against the wall.

"Keegan James. I didn't know you would be this beautiful in person" the stranger in front of me said. "Let me go or I'll... I'll scream" I said out of breath as I stared this man in his eyes. "Do whatever you please Keegan" He said shrugging his shoulders.

"What do you want? "I questioned. "You" He said as he kissed my collar bone and other sweet spots as I stood frozen. Oh god no.

"Stop" I said as I began squirming in his grip. "Let me go" I said trying to push him off but he didn't even acknowledge the words I was saying. "Jason had his fun with you. Now it's my turn. I see why he bought your way out. He wants to keep you for himself" He said forcing himself onto me but I fought him off with a good fight.

"Get off of me" I yelled as I struggled in the fight. He was a huge man so he would definitely win this battle but he would have to earn it. Slamming me onto the floor I hit my head feeling a little woozy. "Get off" I said fighting through the throbbing pain in my head.

Next thing you know he was laid out on the ground and glass was broken. I looked at my knight and shining armor and to my surprise it was Elliot. He leaned down to my level to examine me. "Are you ok?" "Yeah, I think so" I said rubbing my head. Elliot helped me from off the floor.

"Thank you" I said hugging him. "No problem Keegan. I'm sorry again" He said seriously. This act alone was making me more forgiving to him than anything.
