Jason POV

Facing Keegan today was one of the hardest things I had to do. Breaking it off, seeing and hearing her cry almost made me break. I never wanted to make her feel that way but it was just the best thing for now.

Candice was brewing up something in her little mind and I just had to play the part. I would end things with Keegan and stay away from her. I knew how hard that was going to be. The man at the airport was an informant of mine and he disclosed the information to me.

I stayed away from Keegan for over a month to keep up the ruse, ad I kept Candice close to see what she was up to. I just didn't want anything to happen to Keegan and the best way for me to keep her safe was staying away from her.

I brought Candice over that day to talk things out with her and it was bad enough Keegan showed up when she did. I didn't expect her to just show up. It made me look like a liar to Candice. It also made me look like a cheater to Keegan. Fuck.

I made sure to make it seem a believable to Candice as possible because I knew she was watching and listening. Seeing Keegan break down like that really hurt my heart. I wasn't sure if she'd forgive me, but I could only hope she would.

When the time was right I wanted to be sure that I did a lot of making up to her. Hell the women has my so sprung I'd do anything for her. Currently I was sitting in my office when Candice came back into the house. 

"So it's really over huh?" She questioned sitting on my desk exposing her leg. "Yeah it is. What can I help you with Candice?" I hate this conniving bitch.

"Well I was thinking we could pick up where we left off?" She questioned lifting my chin up so that we were making eye contact. "Fuck you Candice. I have better things to do" I said swatting her hand away from my face. Big mistake. Control yourself.

All she needed to believe was that it was over between Keegan and I. I never intended to try to make things with her work. Hell not even pretend to make things work with her. Just to stay close and ensure she wasn't up to something.

"It's like that?" She said laughing as she sat on my lap. I let her get comfortable. "Your girlfriend is feisty. I mean ex-girlfriend she threatened me outside. Said she was gonna hit me with her damned car." she laughed again.

I couldn't help but laugh a little. "She did huh?" I said a little impressed. I mean I knew Keegan had it in her but I thought she was only hostile to me on her last days at my place.

"Get up Candice" I said as I patted her leg. "So what now?" She questioned like she thought I was just going to hop on her train. "Nothing we have work to do" I said seriously as I bega to lay out some paper work.

"It's all business and no play Candice. I'm single but I'm not in the mood to fool around" I said honestly. "So this was never about getting back with me?" Candice asked confused.

"No Candice. You had your chance a long time ago. You know what you did" I said as I went back to work. "Well we'll start bright and early. I have other things to do" she said snatching up her purse with an attitude. bitch.

I already knew what she was up to. I was just a couple of steps ahead of her. I played it safe and just as I expected everything was put into plan. I could only hope that everything was going to be smooth.

I walked out of my office only to see an upset Lindsey. "What did you do Jason?" She said with her hands on her hips and foot tapping. She was distraught after Keegan left early crying and she demanded an explanation that I couldn't give to her right now.
