What should I do? I knew I was distracted today, but I never thought I'd get the numbers wrong.

After my initial shock wears off, I timidly look over the order document. Next, I look at the thick file that my boss had left for me.

She told me to find a new purchaser and even out the numbers. That means I need to call all the numbers on this file and find any company that has an additional amount of order plans. I've never done anything like this before.

Feeling pitiful and worried, I feel the tears beginning to whelm in my eyes.

But crying won't change anything. I need to calm myself down and try my best.

I wipe away my tears and look at the order document once again. I had mistakenly added one digit too many but, fortunately, the additional amount is not a large sum. Like my boss had told me, it should be possible to find an additional order for this amount. Next, I open the file. The companies listed are ones that I have frequently dealt with over the phone.

There's no point in waiting. I've got no choice but to call them... regardless of what their response might be. Yes, after all, this is my fault.

I pull the telephone towards myself.

Hey, I'm surprisingly calm.

In the past, something like this would've given me  major panic attack, but perhaps all the camera experience I have acquired has made me tougher.

~

Sigh. It's no good.

I have desperately made call after call, but the response of each correspondent has been noticeably dubious, and both the possibility of an additional order or a new contract seems dim.

I'm not surprised, After all, I'm calling out of the blue at night. For starters, I'm an office worker, not a sales rep. There's no way I could negotiate something like this.

I looked at the clock and saw that it was already passed 9 PM.

What should I do? Domestic companies would only be open for an hour at the latest. After that, I'd have to call companies abroad that are in a different timezone.

Although abroad, they would still be branches of Korean companies, so communication shouldn't be a problem. That being said, additional orders for such companies would be a lot stricter than  their parent company, so I can't expect much.

In any case... the international companies aren't even open yet. I gotta do my best now.

Sipping tea, I open the file again in order to chose the next company to call, when...

"What do you think you're doing here looking like a lost child?!"

I turn around and came face to face with the last person I had expected.

"H-hyung? Why...?" I said as I try to comprehend why on earth was Jiyong hyung in our office.

"You wouldn't come home, so I called your company." he said, a tad bit mad but a look of concern was evident in his eyes.

"Huh?"

"I heard that you received some emergency work and had to stay until really late so I came."

"B-but how...?" I attempt to ask him how he got inside, but as my eyes met his, my strength leaves my body and I begin to cry.

"You silly boy. Seriously, don't push yourself like this. You should've called me." Jiyong hyung said as he pulls me towards his body and strokes my back soothingly.
