Chapter 23

When I got into my room, I quickly lied down on my bed. I touched my lips that have just been kissed by Jiyong hyung.

I didn't mind being kissed by him.

Am I really going to fall in love with someone who's so strange and different from me? And at the same time, the same gender as me? Never in my wildest dream that I'd get in a non-platonic relationship with the same sex.

The next morning... Jiyong hung is his usual sleepy self as I make and eat breakfast.

"I'm off then..." I said as I tried to walk out of the apartment.

"Are you coming home late today?" he asked.

"Huh? I don't think so. Should I contact you?"

"Aniyo... It's fine... Good luck."

"Thanks."

Jiyong hyung sees me to the entrance as usual.

I'm relieved that Jiyong hyung is acting like his normal self. But, I don't think I can stop myself from falling more and more in love with him. If I fall for Jiyong hyung, I wonder if things would actually work out between us.

That day, I end up accompanying my boss at an emergency meeting. After the meeting, I am allowed to directly go home. This unexpectedly gave me a half-day off.

With half the day free,,, maybe I'll try putting the effort into making a fancy dinner. I wonder what Jiyong hyung wants to eat.

"I'm home!" I half shouted, as usual, when I get home. But instead of being welcomed back, The apartment was eerily quiet.

Has Jiyong hyung gone out?

The door of my room s open. I must've forgotten to lock it this morning.

I entered my room and was shocked to see Jiyong hyung collapsed on my bed.

"H-hyung, are you okay?" I asked as worry wash over me. 

"Hmmhm..." he hummed. He's asleep?

"Um, hyung..." I said as I gently shook his shoulder.

"...huh? Seungri? Welcome home." he said as he got up from the bed. He stretched his arms out and said, " Ahh... I slept well. This bed is really comfortable. You already finished work? You are early today."

"Hyung..."

"Hmm?"

"What are you doing in my room?"

"Well, the door was open."

"You promised not to enter my room without my permission, right?"

"Why would it matter if you're not home?"

"Of course it matters! You promised me. You can't go breaking your promises..."

"Come on Seungri, it's not that big of a deal. Besides, why do hate me being in your room so much?"

"Well, there are private things that I'd prefer if you didn't see."

"Fine, but why can't you come into my room then?"

"I wouldn't go into a guy's room for no reason..."

"Really? We're both guys for crying out loud." Jiyong hyung says this sadly, and I avert my gaze.

"Fine then." he said, not looking at me anymore too. "If you dislike me so much, then I won't force you to stay here."

"Hyung..."

"How can I not expect anything after you've made me breakfast and sat next to me on that small sofa. Even when I kissed you, you didn't resist. But then you go on about me not being allowed to enter your room, and you not coming into mine. I just don't get you. You're... you're leading me on."

"Well, I don't get you either, hyung. And no, I'm not leading you on."

"Huh?"

"I don't understand why you're so kind to someone like me. I keep telling you that the worlds we live in are completely different. I can't keep up with you when you say strange things that don't make sense about how I'm your other half. We are both guys. I have never given much thought about homosexual relationships but this... I don't think..."

"You can't keep up with me, huh? That's always you're excuse whenever anything happens."

I'm at loss for words. Am I really just using this as an excuse?

"Well, what the hell do you want me to then?!" he shouted at me. My eyes twitched and I can almost simultaneously feel the tears welling up in my eyes. He had never shouted at me like this before. Well, maybe he does all time but not this kind of shout.

"I-I... I just want you to keep your promises... You don't have to do anything other than that. Since the worlds you and I live in are too different, I don't think we'll ever be able to understand each other." my voice shook as I try so hard not to cry. I'm a man. I'm not suppose to cry in front of another man.

"What's that suppose to mean? Why do you get to decide that we'll never be able to understand each other!"

"Because we're too different, and there's no way I can keep up with you! So..." I trailed off as I retrieve my Boston bag form the closet and begin to gather my things.

Jiyong hyung's expression visibly soften at my action.

"So you're leaving, huh?" he said, not looking at me.

"I'll only get in you're way by staying here. It was a short time but thank you." As I tell Jiyong hyung this, he let's out a large sigh.

"I've had enough of you!" he suddenly shouted.

Huh...?

He suddenly picked me up and put me on his shoulder.

"Hyung! No... put me down!" I exclaimed as I try to wiggle out of his arms.

"Shut up." With me still over his shoulder, Jiyong hyung heads towards the entrance.

"If you're going to leave, then leave the country!" he shouted as he steps out of his residency. Then, he takes me down to the parking lot.

Placing me in the passenger seat, he begins driving the car.

"Hyung, stop!"I shouted but does not even attempt to look at me as he begins to speak in his hands-free earphones.

"Top hyung, it's me. I'm going to France. Inform Seungri's company."

"What?!? W-wait, hyung." I tried to protest as he made another call.

"Old man, it's me. I'm going to France with Seungri... Yeah, I'll leave the rest to you..."

"Hyung, what do you think you're doing?! I'll sue you with kidnapping!" I said as try to get an explanation from him.

"I wonder how long it'll take to Incheon Airport." he said with a coil smile, not even bothered by my glare.

"Are you fucking serious, hyung?" I said as I ran a hand through my hair, exasperatedly.

"If you think you can't keep up with me, well, let's try putting that to the test." Jiyong hyung said with a grin before stepping on the gas.
