"Hey Al" Christina greeted as she sat beside Alexander."Hey Chris" Alexander greeted, accepting a mug of hot chocolate from Christina. "Thanks"
"No problem" she responded. They stayed silent, looking out over little lake from the front steps of Christina's house. Alexander sipped his drink before looking at Christina.
"What's up?" He asked.
"Alex..... Why does your dad hate dragons?" Christina asked, putting her drink down. Her eyes met his.
"Chris....... I guess you should know" Alexander sighed, looking at the sky. "When I was very young, a dragon killed my mother. Dad just lost it. He just became obsessed with killing off dragons"
"Alex. I'm so sorry" Christina said.
"Don't be, it's not your fault" Alexander said quietly. Christina gave him a side hug. Alexander blushed lightly, but leaned into Christina's side. His head rested on her shoulder and he put his hot chocolate down.
"Hey Stardust?"
"I know little one"
"We gotta help him through this"
