Finding Hope

Chapter sixteen

"Woooo~!" Mark cheered as Storm twirled. The traffic stopped below blared horns, many people leaving their vehicles to watch the Riders fly passed.

"Are you sure Leo?" Sky asked.

"Positive" Leo replied. Sky flew over beside Stardust. "Chris!"

"Yeah Leo?" Christina called back.

"I did some research with dad, and we know the location of Andrew's lab" Leo stated.

"Lead the way!" Christina exclaimed and Leo nodded. Leo and Sky flew ahead of the group.

"Follow Leo! Sky and Leo know the way!" Stardust called. The riders flew after Leo and Sky. They flew passed the C.N tower and went to a large building by the water.

"How much you wanna bet robots are waiting inside for us?" Nathan asked.

"The dragons can distract the robots, get Alex" Stardust replied. Christina nodded.

"Should I tell them?" Christina asked.

"Let them find out on their own" Stardust replied as Christina slid off his back. The other kids got off their dragons and Christina patted Stardust's leg. "Let's go!"

"Time to kick robot butt!" Cloud cried as they launched back into the air. Chase laughed at his partners 'battle cry'. The riders went to a large door, that opened. Robotic dragons raced out, taking to the air. The kids slipped inside.

"We should split up" Brad said.

"Alright. Destiny. Take Jade, Leo, Chase, and Hunter, and go that way. Brad, Jordan, Mark, Nathan, and I will go this way" Christina said, pointing to two doors.

"Ya know. While we have a quick moment, I say Christina is definitely our leader, hands down"

"I thought we already agreed to that"

"Can we just go?"

The riders all turned and ran off with their Half of the team. They left through the doorways. Destiny and Jade peaked around corners, looking into rooms while Hunter and Chase scouted the halls ahead for guards. Leo was watching behind them.

They came to the end of the hall soon enough and found a room with blueprints. As they looked around, Leo walked over to a desk. He picked up a picture of a small family. A woman with blonde hair and light blue eyes, the man undoubtably a slightly younger Andrew. In their arms was a toddler Alexander, sharing the woman's features. Leo frowned a little seeing their names on the back.

Alexander. Andrew. And Megan.

He went to speak to the four with him, but the whole building shook. The doorway slammed shut, locking. Chase and Hunter quickly tried to open the door.

"We're trapped!" Hunter stated.

"Self destruct In one minute" came over the P.A.

"Help me with this" Destiny ordered, trying to open a vent. Chase got it open and they began to crawl through it. Jade was the last in. They crawled until "30 seconds" went out.

"There!" Destiny exclaimed, crawling faster to an opening. She fell out with a shout, Leo following. He dropped, landing on Sky who quickly flew into the air.

"What happened Sky?" Leo asked.

"Well, our families and some friends showed up to help with the battle. Chris and Stardust called them the other night" Sky replied. Leo looked to the open air as Shimmer and Silverstrike snapped the wings off a robot, Starstrike tearing its head off. The body fell to the ground with a loud clanky sound.

"IT'S GONNA BLOW, FLY FOR IT!!!" Firework shouted. The dragons quickly flew into the air, the building below exploding. The impact hit them and sent them higher into the air, getting some cuts from rubble.

"Look!" Warper called. Using his tail to point, Warped directed dragon and human eyes to a small army of robotic dragons, standing on one was none other than Andrew.

And Andrew was holding a gagged and tied up Alexander.

"Riders"

"Let's do this"

"Together!"
