Finding Hope

Chapter thirteen

"Check it out! Guys, we're famous!" Chase cheered loudly. The riders sat around Christina's living room, watching the tv where Christina went through different news channels, all reporting them and their dragons.

"That's not what I expected, but alright!" Jordan cheered from the arm of the couch beside Christina.

"I honestly expected differently" Brad stated, leaning back against Christina's legs.

"Oh well, it's good so far. What we should worry about is school" Leo stated, sitting beside Destiny on the love seat.

"Speaking of worry, where's Alex?" Nathan asked rather bluntly from his position on the couch beside Christina. Nathan didn't look up, eyes still closed as he laid in a relaxed fashion.

"Yeah, where is he?" Hunter questioned. The other riders looked at Christina as she jolted up, almost tripping over her brother.

"Christina?" Destiny and Brad questioned.

"Stardust. Something just happened, I can feel it!" Christina stated. "Stardust, answer me! Are you ok? Dusty!"

"Chris, let's go find out what happened" Jade said. Christina nodded and the riders got shoes on, going outside.

"It's dark. How long were we watching the news?" Chase questioned.

"Who knows-" Hunter was cut off by a loud snarl. Stardust landed roughly on the street, his tail crashing into a car.

"Oops" Christina said nervously. She blinked when Samantha got off stardust's back.

"Chris! Guys, it's really bad!" Samantha claimed.

"Sam? What happened?" Chase asked as he hugged her.

"Alex. I saw him go to the Liftlocks. A robotic dragon was there with a man!" Samantha said, breaking the hug. "I recorded it on my camera, it was bad. I only got a little audio, which is what you need to here"

"Play it then" Christina ordered. Samantha silently played the video, allowing Christina to watch it.

Alexander walked over to Andrew standing beside a robotic dragon, moonlight lighting the scene from camera view. Wind blowing was heard as Alexander and Andrew spoke.

"Crap. Stardust, hey!" Samantha is heard quietly calling behind the camera. A few moments later, stardust lands and samantha points to the sight below. Stardust crouches beside her and they continue to watch. Until Andrew grabs Alexander who screams.

"LET GO!!!! SOMEONE, HELP!!!" Alexander shouted desperately, struggling.

"Alex!" Samantha cried, but stardust launched off the Liftlocks. The robot dragon met him in the air and they began to fight. Samantha rushed down to where Alexander kicked Andrew down a small hill, almost into the water.

"Run sam!" Alexander cried.

"What's going on Alex!?" Samantha asked as he ran to her and they began to run.

"I-I thought if I told dad to stop, he'd come to his senses, but he then said he'd take me to his lab in Toronto and make me regret helping you guys. He wants to kill the riders Sam! We gotta warn them!" Alexander explained, but let out a shriek as he was grabbed my metallic claws.

"ALEX!!!!" Samantha shouted as the robot flew into the air, Andrew visibly on its back. Stardust landed beside Samantha, roaring loudly.

"TELL CHRIS!!!!" Alexander shouted. The camera was dropped, stardust heard in the background snarling. Then it goes staticky.

"Alex tried to help us" Brad stated.

"We need to help him!" Chase claimed.

"We do" Leo stated.

"We should go as soon as possible!" Chase stated.

"No. Stardust needs to be tended too and Andrew knows we're coming, so we need a plan" hunter explained.

"Hunter's right, diving into water headfirst can be a massive mistake. Same with this. If we just dive in, we could hit our heads off rocks, or in this case, robotic dragons. But if we wait and check how deep it is first, or make a plan, we can safely do it" Nathan explained.

"Deep man, deep"

"So let's get planning!"

"Come on stardust"

"Alright little one"
