Katelyn:
I woke up feeling like a rock. I couldn’t move or speak… nothing. I have felt so… empty for about a year, but I had to get ready for school. I crawled out of my hard, lumpy loft bed; I slowly stepped down my ladder. I walked into the bathroom and splashed my face with some cold water to see if that would make a difference, but sadly it didn’t. I slowly walked back to my room and got dressed; I put on a pair of light blue skinny jeans, a black tank top, an aeropostale sweatshirt and my uggs. I went down stairs to have some breakfast, but for some reason I wasn’t that hungry, so I just ate half of a strawberry pop tart. I went to go get my backpack from the living room. I turned the corner and my mom was sitting on the couch with her dirty blonde hair hanging over the edge of the rusty brown colored couch. I walked up to her, but right when I was going to say something I saw she was fast asleep with a photo album lying on her chest. My grandmother had recently passed away and the whole family has been really depressed about it, especially my mother. I was looking at my mother, she looked so beautiful and peaceful, but I had to get to school. I grabbed my bag and ran and got my keys from the kitchen drawer and went into the garage and started my car and drove off to another day of high school. I parked my Ford pickup in the school parking lot. I grabbed my bag out of the passenger seat and hopped out of my car, right when I got out I saw my best friends waving at me. I slowly walked over to them, they all came up to me and hugged as if it has been forever since I’ve seen them.
