Katelyn: Getting called down
Lunch had ended and I was now in 8th hour, about to change to 9th but a couple minutes before the bell rang they called me down to the consulars room. I nervously walked down stairs to the guidance consulars room, when I got there I knocked on the wooden door twice. Mrs. Knight opened the door a couple seconds after I knocked like she was waiting for me right then, I causally walked into her room. The room was filled with posters and small nick nacks, she asked me kindly to sit down in the chair near the corner, and I sat down without saying a word.
“So dear I’ve heard some very important news we need to discuss.” She told me
“Okay…” I said very quietly
“Someone told me that you have been depressed, and want to kill yourself…is that true?” She asked me concerned
“Somewhat…” I said to her looking down at my uggs
“Well, I think you need to go have a visit with the doctor downtown.”
“WHAT! NO!” I asked her madly
“Yes, you need to I will contact your parents this afternoon, you are dismissed.” She told me sternly
I walked out with tears building in my eyes, I ran straight to the bathroom. I ran into the stall and balled my eyes out for what it felt like hours but probably only 30 minutes. I walked out of the stall and looked at myself in the mirror, I looked like a mess my hair was knotty; my makeup is smeared down my face. I cleaned myself up before returning to class. After cleaning myself up I walked out of the bathroom and looked at the clock in the hallway, I saw that it was 2:13! School was almost over!
Parents: at home
“School just ended honey.” I told Chad
“Okay…shhh I’m working. Should we just wait for her or bring it up at dinner.” He asked me
“I don’t think we should wait for her she might get emotional, you know her chad.” I told him
“So what about tomorrow, should we pull her out of school tomorrow and bring her to the doctors.” He asked me
“Yes, we will pull her out at 12:30 tomorrow.” I told him. Then we both turned to the garage door when we heard it open.
