Chapter 2- A Gift?

Sun told Datrix to use petal blizzard. It was super effective. Brionne and Rockruff fainted. Type:null had most of its health left.
Announcer - " aaaaand the winner is....SUN!!!"

Y/n p.o.v--------

Wow! Sun must be strong to take out The Royal as he is a champion. Hau looks....happy?eventhou he lost. I don't understand this kid. Gladion was doing his signature pose and muttering about needing to get stronger. Is he obsessed with being strong? He catches me looking at him and glares. I just grin so he knows I heard what he was muttering....and because it pissed him off more. Everyone started to leave the arena. I waited till most people had gone before attempting to move. As Gladion was passing by me he made a gesture that he wanted to talk to me outside behind the masala shop. I nod in acknowledgment and check that have my guitar strapped to my back. I go into the entrance of the battle dome and go speak to Bert to get paid. "Here ya go y/n £5,000" I reply with a small "Thanks" and leave on Lei to go meet Gladion.
As I get near I see some Team Skull Grunts 'talking' (more like harassing) to Gladion where we were supposed to meet. Gladion notices and moves his eyes to tell me to go. I nod and Lei starts to run home.

3rd person------

The h/c boy on the midday Lycanroc raced out of the battle dome and into the forest near by (the forest areas where you can't actually go). The pair stop in front of a large tree and just stand there. The h/c boy then grasps a near by vine and starts to climb up it only using his hands. The Lycanroc is sat on the ground waiting. When the boy gets halfway up he stops, holds the vine in one hand and goes to grab the Lycanroc's pokeball. The Lycanroc goes back in and the boy continues up the vine to a hidden platform.

Y/n p.o.v ----------

It's great to be back home. *Sigh* I grab onto a handle in the floor of the platform and pull myself up. I pull myself further onto the platform so my feet don't hang over and slid my guitar off my back. I then roll onto my back to take a breather. All my pokeballs pop open so my pokemon are released. Lei and Rika , my Midnight Lycanroc, comes over and help me off the floor and into the treehouse....well it is more of Rika holding me up and supporting me while Lei made sure nothing was in my way and pushed a chair out for me to sit on."Ugh. Why am I so dependent on my pokemon I can't do much by myself. Arrgh!" I took my hat off and untied my hoodie from around my waist while Blaze kindly dragged my guitar next to me so I could play it later. "It feels great to take my had and hoodie off" I say to my dear pokemon (You have a tanktop on).Lei, Rika & Blaze then look at the cupboard where the food is then back at me. I think they're hungry; complete sarcasm. Then a chorus of belly grumbles erupt. Even from me. I attempt to stand up while leaning on the table. I then stop leaning on the table. "Yessss! I'm standing up by myself!!!" Then I had to be cocky and try to walk. Yea.....I fell flat on my face. I heard a rustling noise out side.

"Rika, Lei go see", they went to the edge of the platform. As they weren't growling and I could see they had moved away from the platform it meant that the thing I heard was Gladion as only he knew where I lived and Rika & Lei would have stayed at the front of the platform if it was another pokemon. "Oi, what were you trying to do mister?", was his first words to me.
"Is that any way to greet an old friend." I retort. Silence.  "That shut you up. What did you want to talk about?" Instead of answering my question Gladion replies with, "Let's get you up first."

Gladion pov----

I started to make my way towards y/n to help him up. As I pass Rika & Lei I pat their heads. The bag at my side keeps banging against my leg. I reach y/n and lift him off the floor and set him down on the nearest thing. The counter. "How did you end up on the floor?" His reply was " I was trying to walk over to the cupboard under me to get some food for breakfast." I just faceplam. " what food were you trying to get?", I ask. "Some berries & pokebeans.....and no I didn't have any left in my pocket; also Blaze burnt my bag." Stiffing a chuckle, I get some berries & pokebeans out the cupboard and pass them to y/n. I untie the bag on my waist and give it to him. "Open it."

3rd person -------

Y/n opened the bag to see a pair of leg braces. His e/c eyes start to tear up. Gladion is shocked that y/n started to cry. He walks towards y/n but stops when y/n wraps his arms around Gladion's waist and hugs him. He visibly tenses up but Gladion slowly hugs back.

Y/n p.o.v-----------

"Why?" He replied with "Because when I saw you earlier I noticed that you still couldn't walk properly...even after 4 years." I reply "Well at least I can move my legs mostly and stand up on my own.....Thank you." "They're also your 15th birthday present despite it being late as I they were still being built when it was your birthday.", He told me. "Hey at least you remembered."

3rd person ---------

Gladion helped y/n put the leg braces on and helps him stand. When he stood up Rika, Lei & Blaze started barking/meowing in excitement. For the first time in ages y/n and Gladion both smiled a genuine smile. What no one had noticed was that the sky had started to darken meaning it was turning night.
