Gladion pov--------
I push off from the platform and try to reach the vine y/n slid down...However gravity had other ideas. It was further than it looked. I missed it and started falling. Panicking I flailed my arms and legs and somehow ended falling facing the sky. " aaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!" I couldn't see how close to the ground I was as I had shut my eyes in an attempt to calm down when I felt a pair of arms around my back and under my knees.
Y/n p.o.v ----------
"Sigh" I caught gladion bridal style and start chuckling at it because he acts so 'tuff' and 'strong'. Carefully, I put him down so he can stand on his own. He mumbled a small "Thanks" while folding his arms turned away from me. I just smirk; knowing that he was embarrassed. "Let's go. Lei out you go" I say as I release Lei from his pokeball and climb on his back. I make a motion for gladion to get on Lei but he shakes his head. " Gladion it's easier to ride Lei till we get to a proper path or road." A reply of "tch" came while he hesitantly climbed on Lei behind me. "Hold on" I told him as Lei shot of into the forest with us on his back. Gladion instantly held onto my waist so he didn't fall off while I held Lei's scruff.
3rd person ---------
The Midday Lycanroc raced off towards the port in Heahea city to go to Ula' Ula island. It then boarded the boat with its companions on its back. Both the males got off its back and sat down while the Lycanroc disappeared into its pokeball.
Y/n p.o.v ---------
On the boat with Gladion was peaceful yet slightly worrying as me and water aren't a good combination. I've had nasty experiences with water ...especially the sea. Thankfully, it didn't last long. The whole time was spent in a comfortable silence. "I'm gonna walk" I confidently say to Gladion. " You sure?" He asked in a slightly caring tone. My response was a quick nod then I started walking towards Malie Gardens at a slow-ish pace with Gladion walking next to me. Braking the silence between us i ask
" Why did you follow me here?" "Tch. I didn't follow you Lei forced me here. Though I did need to go to this island." He replied grumpily. "Sure~" I purr in response. Gladion just scoffed. " Why do you need to come here?" He asked in return. "I need to face the next trial which is here and I'm gonna try to earn some more money because I'm running out of it despite working for the Battle Royal Dome. That's why I'm going to Malie Gardens while you can go do whatever" I reply in slight annoyance of how little I actually get paid.
Gladion pov --------
Gezz he's annoyed about his wage. At least he gets paid for his talent. We neared Malie Gardens and I just realised that he is walking how he used to walk before that happened. He starts to walk quicker as if he's trying to run. I inquisitively look at what he's trying to get to and see its f/f, his favourite food. Unfortunately,as he gets there they just ran out so he (while sulking) walked into the park and took his guitar off his back, sat crossed leg on the floor and started setting up for playing.
Y/n p.o.v ---------
I open my guitar case and carefully remove my guitar. I think of a song to perform and think of a good one. City of angels by Arrows to Athens. "Gladion move out the way" I quietly shout at him as he was stood directly in front of me. I start to strum my guitar and start singing.
