Four

"Baekhyun, don't open the door. I'm scared."

"I'm not opening it," The door opened itself though.

"Come on, you're coming with me."

"DJ, you don't understand, we can't go back, it's horrible there."

"It's okay, just come with me."

Baekhyun thought about making a run for it, but there was no way he would leave Chanyeol alone at a time like this. He took Chanyeol's hand, "Let's go, Chan."

"We can't, Baekhyun. Everything will just be worse."

"We still have each other. It's okay," Baekhyun hugged Chanyeol, he didn't want to go back just as much, but what other choice did they have? Chanyeol squeezed Baekhyun's hand in the back of the car.

"I'm really impressed," DJ broke the heavy silence in the air.

"By what?" Chanyeol muttered.

"I'm impressed that you two managed to survive."

"It wasn't as hard as being caged up at the stupid orphanage. In the real world, you don't have to feel so isolated. The real world is full of blind people and sad people."

DJ was silent again, realizing that the only thing he was doing was pissing the boys off further.

When they got back to the orphanage they were smacked in the face and grabbed by the arms.

"Let go of me!" Baekhyun squirmed around, "No woman should be this strong! You witch!"

"This is why nobody wants you!"

Baekhyun freed himself but ran into DJ, who kept a gentler hold on him, "I do. I want them."

"You what?" Baekhyun looked up at him.

"Yeah, I will adopt them."

"This one is dangerous and this one can't even see, you have no idea what you're getting yourself into."

"Maybe I don't, but I'd rather them bother me for the rest of my life than be left here to die. Let me fill out the papers."

The woman sent Baekhyun and Chanyeol to solitary confinement while she had a meeting with DJ. Baekhyun hated being separated from Chanyeol at a time like this, he had so many thoughts running through his head, he didn't know what was going to happen to them. What if DJ only wanted Chanyeol and not Baekhyun. Chanyeol and DJ were closer after Chanyeol took up an interest in playing guitar.

Baekhyun didn't care if he got in trouble, he left the small room he was in and opened the door to the one Chanyeol was in.

"Baekhyun?"

"I'm scared," Baekhyun's entire body was shaking.

"We'll be okay."

"What if we get separated?"

"We won't. You heard him, he said he wants both of us. Even if something happens, we can't get separated, I won't let it happen."

"Chanyeol, Baekhyun, pack your belongings," Chanyeol smiled at Baekhyun. They didn't know if they should be excited or nervous. Baekhyun felt nervous, mostly.

"This doesn't make us brothers, right Chanyeol?" Chanyeol's only belongings were his clothes. Baekhyun still had a few belongings from before he came to the orphanage.
