Zayn's POV
"Okay, okay, relax Harry!" Ashley says trying yo calm Harry down who has been cheering for over about *checks imaginary watch* 15 minutes and hasn't worn out or cracked his voice since. It's like one long line of BEEEEEEEEEP. Yeah, like that.
"Please control your brethren" Ashley says dramatically pointing to Harry who was.. I think... Doing the dougie.. I don't know.
"Brotha!" Louis shouts "come to me!" Harry just smiles stopping and moving towards us.
"Thank god" Ashley sighs in relief as we all chuckled "next up, Zayn" and I just froze in my spot while the others just laughed, pushing me forward.
" is zany boo, scared?" Ashley cooed as I pout, crossing my arms "let's go" I grumble as she smiles with me reciprocating it then we made our way out the gym and into the hallway.
Half way across the hall way Ashley tossed a silver blindfold to Louis while we all stared at it questioningly.
"Tie him up" she states and I immediately knew what it mean, the lads were a bit slow then Liam caught on to it and whispered it to the rest of the lads who pounced in me, pinning me to the ground. "What the hell?" I ask slightly aggravated, who wouldn't be? "Let's just say" Ashley starts thinking of a word/statement "it's gonna be a surprise" the rest of the boys snicker in response as I groan. Great, my greatest fear in surprise.
Two hands grabbed me and pulled me up then soon we were walking to an 'unknown' place, for me. "Don't worry Zayn, we'll protect ya" Harry says from beside me "that's what I'm worried about" I say as I could feel him glaring at me through the blindfolds and soon I felt a slight kick on my ankle.
"Hey!" I shout immediately being shhed by Liam "shut up guys"
Minutes later I found myself smelling the ocean breeze and feeling the warm sand beneath me, getting sicker at the though of where we were.
Soon I found my self stepping on wooden planks then suddenly being jolted forward and finally the blindfold was taken off. Though, I wished it was on a bit longer.
I gasped at the sight of the natural ocean water getting darker and darker, the wind blowing stronger and stronger as I felt the breeze, the shore lines disappearing by the second, and soon we were in the depths of the Atlantic.
"W-What are we doing here?" I ask, stuttering a bit in my words, clinging to the boat that would depend on my life. "Were going for a swim" Ashley announces cheerfully. How could she be happy about this? This is crazy!
"There is no way that I am going in there" I point at the water seeing nothing but it as I crossed my arms in denial.
Soon a life jacket was on me then my jumper turned into a one piece swim suit. Well, shit.
"Boys you know what to do" Ashley says not even taking a glance at them as she was tying her life vest, concentrating in each zipper and drawstring.
"Yes Ma'm" Louis salutes as the rest of them crowded around me, smirking. This will not end well.
"Lads" I start "I'm your best bud right?" I remind them as they all laughed at my discomfort "up we go" Liam states grabbing one of my legs as Harry grabbed my left arm, Louis grabbing my right arm and Niall grabbing the other leg hoisting me up.
"Guys!" I shout squirming a bit "put me down!" I demand as their response was nothing but laughter "hey, remember that one time, I promised to teach you to swim. Welp, now's the time!" Liam says as they threw me overboard and into the dark, cold, water.
"MAN OVERBOARD, MAN OVERBOARD!" Harry shouts as Niall smacks him "we threw him overboard stupid"
"I know, just trying to make it interesting" Harry says rolling his eyes as Niall shoves him around.
I flailed my arms around me hoping to keep still as the water kept pushing me down then I see Ashley peeking from above the boat sighing in discontent "Zayn, you know your not afraid of water right?" She asks slightly tilting her head as I bounced up and down on the water "your afraid of drowning and that's entirely different" she states as my head dipped down deeper and I stayed the squirming to get up.
"ZAYN!" I heard muffled shouts due to the water in my ears "don't you dare give up!" Don't let the water get inside just keep it out and flow through it"
With that I jumped up from the water and just.... Floated.
"I'M SWIMMING!" I cheer as I saw Harry getting down the ladder of the boat seeing me cheering then grumbles getting up "technically, you aren't even swimming" Liam says as I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah, your floating" Niall says then his head pops out from the boat looking down at me as I pout, slightly clashing my teeth together as they chattered, it was cold.
"Yeah but I'm getting there!" I protest flicking them off "good luck with that then" Louis says from the other side of the boat.
"Really feel the love Lou!" I shout still pouting. So much love.
"Naw, don't you worry Zayn, I'll help yah daddy Payne to the rescue" Liam says climbing down the ladder and into the water.
"Damn, it's freezing" he shivers once he came in contact "you'll get used to it" I assure still floating "so are you gonna help me orrrrrr what?" I ask as Liam's head snaps back to mine, meeting my gaze "oh right" *mentally slaps forehead*
"Okay so step one, got used to the water?" He asks as I nod.
"Oh I am watching this!" I hear Harry holler as his stomps of rain boots were sounded against the creak boards of the boat "me too" Niall and Louis say moving towards the end as well. "Okay, just shut up and lemme watch how this goes" Ashley says.
"So let's learn the dog paddle, ever heard of that?" Liam asks "LIAM!"
"What?"
"I know the basics"
"Then why don't you-"
"I just don't know how to actually swim and keep it going you know?" I say slightly aggravated as Liam raises his hands up in surrender.
"Just get on with it" I say as Liam rolled his eyes
«minutes later»
"Okay Zayn, I have good news and bad news" Liam says, both of us sitting on the step in ladder against the boat.
"The good news is that your a fast learner!" He cheers as I cheer as well.
"The bad news?"
"Were both shivering" Liam states clutching onto the fabric of his swim suit as I imitate.
"No doubt about it" I say..... "Thanks by the way" I thank Liam clapping a hand on his shoulder letting in rest there for a while.
He gave me a genuine, warm smile saying "it's no trouble actually, I did promise you I'd teach ya didn't I?!"
I smiled at him saying, "thanks anyway mate, couldn't have done it without you"
"Now you sound like Dora" a voice says out of nowhere making me jump and fall off the boat "Come on!" I groan "I just dried off"
Ashley chuckles "sorry to ruin your moment, I didn't know you were gay Zayn"
"I'm not!" I protest crossing my arms "weren't even doing any thing" I grumble
"Relax mate! She was only kidding!" Niall says popping beside Ashley then gesturing towards her. Niall, please we all know what your doing.

"And he knows not to mess with me don't you Zayn?" She asks sweetly as I laugh at her attempt and nod "good"
"Oh and you passed" she adds as I cheered high- Fiving Liam
"IM THE BRADFORD BAD BOI!!" I cheer " with the fears of a baby" Harry mutters as I glare at him.
"Fears that have been conquered" I correct with a sly smile as he rolls his eyes
