"It is your turn Rose." Jeremy says after he basically killed Jacob.
"You shouldn't fight a girl like Rose. They are too weak to do anything." Jacob explained with blood dripping from his nose where Jeremy performed a perfect face plant into his knee.
"Shut-up! What do you know about fighting?" Rose was sick and tired of Jacob's sexist comments.
"Come on Rose, we don't have all day." Jeremy had taken off his shirt since Jacob did take a few wrestling classes.
Rose approached Jeremy with shaking nerves. She waited for Jeremy to make the first move. He seemed to take this as a weakness, and threw a soft punch on her shoulder. But before it made contact she caught his fist with the sharpness of a Chinese knife, and threw a perfect box kick. Which sent Jeremy flying on his back stunned. Rose took advantage of this moment and pinned him on the ground.
"Not bad." Jeremy smiled before he forced her on her back and was now on top of her.
"I never really thought that I would be pinned by guy with slow reflexes." She shot back as she knocked her head into his chest, which loosened him enough so that she could break free. They were both suddenly on their feet throwing kicks and punches that would have harmed people very unprepared for an attack by some simple teenagers, but they had blocked an pared every kick and punch so perfectly that a stranger would have guessed that they were on the same wave link.
"Most girls like you would be more interested in going to the mall to find some shoes, not fight a complete stranger." Jeremy wittily exclaimed.
"I am not most girls." Rose expressed as she threw a punch that Jeremy caught and easily flipped her over with.
"That is what I thought." Jeremy said as he stood over her smirking. Rose took the opportunity to kick behind his knees which sent him on his back panting hard.
"Wow, that was amazing." Jacob said as they both lay there panting. "Now what?"
"Now we have lunch." Jeremy said as his stomach growled.
After they had eaten lunch, which consisted of a ham sandwich, a salad, fruit, and vegetables, they continued with the tour. Jeremy ended the tour by showing them the workout room and all of the training rooms.
"Why are there so many training rooms?" Jacob questioned.
"Be--"
"Because you need to train in a lot of areas in order to become a great spy." Rose told him as she cut Jeremy off.
"How do you know all of this stuff, Rose?" Jeremy asked Rose with great interest.
"I had an uncle that I once thought was a spy since he got to go around the world. It turns out that he was just working on some boring business trying to convince the world that protein snacks were actually good. But I did learn a lot from him. He was my role model."
"Wow, that is just fascinating. I was actually born into this business, both my parents were spies, and they each taught me something important."
"What would that be?"
"I might tell you someday, but right now it is time for to get settled into your rooms. You will actually have a roommate, Jacob will room with me while, you Rose, will room with Sandra."
Rose took one look at Sandra and soon realized that Rose was nothing compared to her. Sandra had black shoulder length hair and bright green eyes. Her expression was comical, but she had an air of seriousness. To Rose's horror Sandra walked over to Jeremy and slipped her arm around his waist. Rose became angry with herself for believing that she and Jeremy would ever have anything in common when obviously he already met someone important in his life.
"I am so pleased to meet you Rose. I have heard so much about you and your accomplishments. I can't wait until we can go on missions together." Sandra was saying. Jeremy had untangled himself from her, but she didn't seem to notice. If she ever realized that Rose had felt some small feelings toward Jeremy, she didn't show it.
"Hi, I am Jacob." Jacob seemed to like Sandra for her appearance and was content in keeping his gaze on her. Sandra didn't seem to care about Jacob almost as much as she seemed to care about Jeremy.
"Well I will let you two get settled in." Jeremy said as he walked away, leading Jacob to their room.
"Isn't Jeremy the perfect gentleman? I have always admired him for his great manners and looks. He and I have gone on so many missions together. We are practically brother and sister." Sandra said as she looped her arm through Rose's.
"I suppose, although I never really thought about that, seeing as how I just met him."
Sandra's eyes got as big as footballs when she heard Rose say this. "I noticed all of that when I first met him. He didn't seem to have the same reaction as me. I have been trying for months to get him to ask me out. He seems as hard as stone. How long have you and Jacob been together?"
"Oh, Jacob and I aren't together or anything like that. He and I are friends, sort of. He is more like an annoying big brother, not more."
"Hm, interesting. Well here we are. I hope you don't mind orange, it is kind of my favorite color."
Orange was her favorite color since the walls were bathed in a tangerine and the beds had orange, pink, and, white. There were two desks each with a laptop, and a lamp. The chairs at the desks were white egg shaped chairs with orange cushions. There was also a closet with numerous pieces of clothing. All were ranging from a sequined top to a pair of pumps. Rose had never seen anything like it. All of the clothes looked as if they were meant for a superstar.
"We can share them, the company provides a few. I mostly bought them from all around the world. I have many favorites. Oh, and the best part is that they fit to your size. I had Kane do that for me, she is basically the major scientist. She is like the smartest person on earth, and she is only twelve. Can you believe that?"
"Amazing." Was all Rose could muster up.
"I know right?" Sandra was playing with her hair in front of the mirror that took up a whole wall.
"ALERT! ALERT! ALL SPIES PLEASE REPORT TO THE MEETING ROOM! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!" A loud voice announced over the speaker.
Rose and Sandra bolted out of the room and ran down the hall to meet up with Jacob and Jeremy. The siren had taken on a higher pitch that brought everybody's' hands to their ears. People were running from here to there, creating great chaos. They ran past a laboratory that seemed ordinary, but soon exploded. Jeremy threw himself against Rose to protect her from the explosion. The impact sent them flying into the wall.
"Oh, my! I am so sorry Jeremy, I didn't know you were out here!" Out walked a short skinny figure that was dressed in a lab coat and goggles.
"Its alright Kane, may I introduce you to my little sister slash mad scientist." Jeremy said in his easy going manner.
"Hey! I am not a mad scientist! That explosion was just an accident, I have been experimenting new bombs. That explosion was actually completely harmless. The bomb can trick your enemy into running away right into the arms of the police. It is very effective, as you can see." Kane motioned to Jacob who was shaking very badly and was apparently afraid of a little twelve-year old.
"Hey, I am sorry to break this little family reunion, but we should be in that conference room." reminded Rose.
They soon forgot about the explosion and ran into the conference room full of spies, all much older, looking up at one man. They all seemed to be waiting for them, but Rose didn't pay attention to that all she could do is stare at the man in the front of the room. She couldn't stop thinking that this was all a dream, that none of this was happening to her. There is no way that he was standing in the front of the room. Not him.
All she could do is say one word. "Uncle."
