Can we Trust Them?

Harry's POV:

These demigods, or so they call themselves, are definitely something else. I can sense that they're powerful, as my wand vibrates when it gets near one of them. Somehow that vibration is more intense when it's near Percy...

That vibration isn't necessarily benevolent either. It feels like a warning. Like like it's telling me, "Don't get any closer. This is enemy territory." Percy looks guarded. As if he doesn't fully trust us. I can understand that. "The wand chooses the wizard, Mr. Potter. That much has always been known to those of us who have studied wandlore." Mr. Ollivander's words rang in my skull. I don't know why that particular quote began to surface, but it felt important. I couldn't understand why, though, and it troubled me. And being back in Sirius' old house didn't help. A lot of the Secret Keepers chose to have their memories of the location removed, in case a new Dark Lord emerged. Hermione Ron and I elected to keep them, however. "What if we need to use it as a base again?" Hermione pointed out. But it held a lot of bad memories.

I stepped into Sirius' old room. The only thing that had changed inside the room since his death was his wand was on his desk, covered in dust. I sat on the bed, pondering what to do. These demigods... they were strong. I could tell that much. But even knowing about them... It made me uneasy.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Standing up quickly, I asked, "Who is it?" Percy responded. Grimacing, I opened the door, letting him in. He took a look around and looked surprised to see so many Muggle posters on my godfather's room. Percy looked at me with sad eyes, almost as if he's seen death before.

"I'm sorry," he says suddenly. "Hermione told us about your godfather. I... I know what it feels like to lose someone you care about. I lost my friends Beckendorf and Selina in the Titan War, and there was this girl, Bianca diAngelo... She sacrificed her life to save me and a few others on a quest..." Percy sinks to the ground, tears streaming down his face. He wipes at them furiously, apologizing for showing weakness. "I'm not usually like this... But I've kept this in for so long. My mom and stepdad Paul know, kind of, but they don't really understand the full story. They were murdered by Greek story characters! Beckendorf was blown up to destroy Kronos, and what good did it do him? Beckendorf died, and the slimy Titan lord still managed to bring his army to the steps of Olympus..."

"Percy, calm down. We have to put these things aside for now. We're waiting for your friend Nico; he should be here in a few minutes. I don't know what's up but he's the one who started all this. That and that Rachel girl. (She creeps me out...)" I shuddered, remembering the green smoke she spewed out. I knew it was just an image through a magical rainbow telephone, but I could still feel the presence of that serpent spirit... It was cold, not entirely benevolent, and powerful. I almost wanted to put Trewlany in a room with Rachel to see who had the better power of prophecy... almost.

Hermione burst open the door. She looked frantic, and Ron was just behind her. "He's here... The son of Hades has arrived."

I am sooooo sorry for not uploading!! Comcast shut down our internet for a while for no reason, so we had to fight with them for a few days. I was also going out job hunting during most of the day, so I had little time to get things done. I hope this new chapter will help ease your frustrations! Stay sassy, demigods and Wizards!!!
