The next couple of weeks were a blur, Scott and Stiles were consistently busy, I'm assuming with Derek whilst I sat at home and watched as the rain left marks on my window. I was sitting on my window seat, reading a book, listening to the calming patter of the rain. Scott and Stiles had gone to a cross country meet along with Alison and Lydia, so that left me with nobody to talk to. I suddenly heard my phone ring, I walked over and picked it up off of my oak bedside table and was surprised to see Stiles' dad calling me.
"Hey sheriff, what's up?" I asked, closing my book so I was more focused on why he was calling instead of my book.
"I wanted to ask a huge favour, you can drive right?" He asked and my brows furrowed, making me look confused, despite the fact that he couldn't actually see me.
"Well, dad taught me before he locked me up last year." I said internally rolling my eyes, considering the reason I'd been gone was because of that man.
"Do you think you could take Stiles pillow to motel glen Capri for me? He can't sleep without it." Sheriff stilinksi said and hearing the worry in his voice and the thought of Stiles not sleeping made me feel sympathetic.
"That place gives me the creeps, but considering I love you and your son so much I guess I could squeeze you into my diary." I teased and I heard a laugh along with a sigh of relief on the other end of the phone. I know that he couldn't do it, he's tee sheriff and was probably drowning in work right now.
I decided to stop off at the diner first, and I bought a coffee and a little cake for the sheriff as I knew how stressed he probably was. I then drove to Stiles' and I entered the house, I don't knock anymore, there's no point. I saw Stiles dad in his at home office and I sighed as I saw him with his head in his heads.
"How's it going?" I asked, leaning my petite figure on the door frame, causing Sheriff Stilinski to look up at me. I walked over and placed the coffee and cake on his desk.
"What's this?" He asked and I smiled, wanting to do something nice for a change.
"I knew you'd be getting stressed, so I brought your kind of stress reliever." I said making us both chuckle, before I grabbed Stiles pillow and I left. The drive there wasn't the shortest journey, in fact it took almost 2 hours! I didn't remember it taking this long. I arrived at the motel and pulled into the car park, I was stepping out of the car, Stiles pillow under my arms when I heard people running. I was curious as to what was happening, so I locked my moms car and walked around until I saw something causing me to drop the pillow.
Scott was standing there, gasoline drenched him and he had a lit flare in his hand and he was crying. I screamed and ran towards him, Lydia, Stiles and Alison were standing there crying and as I was about to run towards him Stiles grabbed me and tried to keep me from touching the gasoline. I felt tears fall down my face, I didn't know what I'd do without my twin brother.
"Scott? Why're you doing this?" I asked with a shaky voice and his gaze met mine.
"Because, there's no hope." He replied and I felt my grip around Stiles side tighten, his arms around me kept me in place but he rubbed his thumb up and down my arm, trying to comfort me.
"There's always hope Scott." Alison replied, trying her best to smile through her tears.
"Not for me. Not for Derek." He replied and I had no clue where all this was coming from, all I knew was that I wanted it to stop.
"Scott Mcall, you listen here. Hope isn't just a word, it's a thing, an object, whatever you want it to be! My hope is here, my best friends and my brother, you think I'd be here today if I didn't have you? That's why if you're going to end it tonight." I paused and eased my way out of Stiles grip, and I took a step into the gasoline and another and another until I was stood right in front of Scott.
"We'll end it the way we started, together." I whispered, tears flooding my face. I heard a squelch behind me and watched as Stiles proceeded to walk towards us.
"The three musketeers is what we used to be called. You'll have to take both of us with you." Stiles said, taking another step and eventually removing the flare from Scott's grip. He threw the flare away from the gasoline and I felt my arms fall around Scott, who still looked devastated. I heard Lydia scream behind us, and then I felt myself being pushed to the floor out of the gas puddle. As I turned to see why, I saw flames and lots of them, realising that Lydia had just saved my life. Instead of returning into the motel, we all decided to sleep on the bus, considering it was a much safer option.
I woke up the next morning cuddling Stiles, I was laying on him and his arms were wrapped around me. Then coach came on the bus and blew his whistle, waking us all up as the other students climbed on. Stiles noticed the position that we were in, forcing him to scratch the back of his neck nervously. I smiled awkwardly, before we both sat up properly.
"I've gotta go, I've got to get my moms car back." I said and Stiles nodded and gave me a small smile, I said bye to them all and stepped off the bus. I smiled to myself and walked over to my
Moms car before getting inside. There was a bang on the window and I saw a bloody handprint, this made me jump and I held my hand on the gun in my belt. I forcefully opened the car door and aimed my gun, when I saw his body laying on the ground and I fell to my knees and hovered above him, he tried to hold his hand out to me then I saw it, the impossible, his eyes started to glow red and I felt like I couldn't breathe."Derek Derek Derek." I said in an almost patronising tone and he gave me a confused look.
"Glowing eyes, and they called me crazy, all because of you." I spat, glaring into his now green eyes.
"I'll tell you what." I whispered. "How about I give you a 30 second head start." I pulled my gun out and cocked it, when I looked down again he was gone, making me grin that the game was on. I sill had no clue why his eyes glowed, but I was going to find out.
I'm not sure what came over me that night, but it wasn't a pretty sight, who am I?
