Ten years later they were living in the city again.
Ten years after that horrid day at Briny Beach, they were all living together in the city.
Violet, Klaus, Sunny, and Beatrice, their young charge, had found the Quagmire triplets. Sadly, Hector had died in their fight with the eagles.
They were all trying to live normal lives.
Isadora, Duncan, and Quigley had been thirteen when their house burned, and they were sent to the academy. Now they were 23.
Isadora was a bestselling poet.
Duncan had become a journalist.
Quigley traveled the world, making maps of unknown places.
Beatrice was not yet born when the triplets were at the academy. But she was now 8. Beatrice was quite the athlete. She loved cooking with Sunny, reading with Klaus, and building with Violet.
Sunny had been 2 when she had met the triplets- well, Isadora and Duncan- at the academy. She was now 12.
She was a seventh grader in middle school. Her teeth were still rather sharp and large. She loved to cook for her siblings and try new foods.
Klaus had been 12 when he had met the triplets. He was now 22.
He was in his last year of college. He wanted to become a social worker and work in foster care systems to make sure that kids like himself went to good homes. He didn't want anyone to follow in his footsteps. He still loved to read.
Violet had been 14 when she met the triplets. She was now 24. She worked for a company that made computers, which paid quite well. She also was raising Sunny and Beatrice with Klaus. The triplets were always a great help and supported Violet.
She was also dating Quigley Quagmire, a relationship that both families heartily approved.

Sunny Baudelaire was over the moon.
He had finally noticed her.
She thought that he didn't know she existed.
(Yes, dear readers, you are reading this correctly. Sunny Baudelaire had a crush. She's a 12-year-old, for goodness sake.)
It was just that day. Jeremy had come up to her at lunch.
He had told her that he thought she was cute- cute! He had asked her out. She agreed on the spot.
So she was very happy as Isadora walked her and Beatrice home from school. Violet was very protective of them, because of what they'd gone through.
"Dora," Sunny began, "I had the most amazing day."
"Tell me all about it, Sunny."
Isadora always listened to her. Sunny loved it. "Jeremy asked me out."
"Wait. THE Jeremy? The one that you've been crushing on for months?"
Sunny smiled. "The very same."
Isadora hugged her. "I'm so happy for you!"
Beatrice squeezed her hand, to let her know that she was happy as well.
"I just hope Violet lets me go."
Isadora frowned momentarily. "Sunny..." She trailed off.
"I know, Dora. I know. Violet might not let me go. But it never hurts to ask, right?"
