Greatest Fears

Violet and Klaus were afraid of failing.

Violet already felt as if she had failed her parents and her siblings. She hadn't kept them out of trouble, had she?

Klaus felt that his mistakes had almost cost them their lives, not to mention he'd had to almost kill Violet.

Sunny and Quigley were afraid of being alone.

All the worst things had happened to Sunny had happened when she was alone. She'd been locked in a birdcage, stuffed in a trunk, trapped in a diving helmet, and more. She hated being alone because she didn't want to lose her siblings.

And Quigley had already lost his siblings once, and been lost to them. He wanted to make sure that he never got lost again.

Isadora was afraid of small spaces.

After being locked in a cage at the bottom of an elevator, stuffed in a large fish statue, and trapped in a fountain, she thought she'd had enough of small spaces.

Duncan was afraid of his loved ones dying.

Duncan was told that his brother, Quigley, had died in the fire that killed his parents. His life was crisscrossed with deaths. His parents. Hector. Jacques. He didn't want anymore deaths.
