This Town

     "Iz! Wake up!" Sarah yelled from the kitchen.

     Izumrud slowly opened his eyes. He had been kicked out from Sarah's bed when Nadiya refused to sleep anywhere else except her bed. There wasn't enough room for all three of them so to save them the trouble Izumrud slept on the couch. Izumrud then proceeded to close his eyes and drift off to sleep once more...

     Sarah waited for a moment. Once she saw that Izumrud hadn't woken up and went to the kitchen to tame the beast that was Nadiya, Sarah yelled once more. "Izumrud! Get. Up!"

     All Izumrud did was stir, when finally he felt him self being moved and fell right on the floor. "Ow..."

     "That's the fifth time I called for you to wake up." Sarah said her arms crossed with a spoon in one hand.

     "What's the rush?" Izumrud said looking up at Sarah with a big smile of his face.

     Sarah blushed. "You look like an idiot you know." She stared at Izumrud's position. He had part of his right arm and leg on the couch, and his left arm on the glass table beside him. Sarah snickered, she tried holding in her laughter but couldn't contain it. She started laughing loudly and uncontrollably.

     "What? Do I really look that weird?"

     Sarah was laughing so hard that tears became to come out of her eyes. "Wait here I'm getting the camera."

     "Oh no you don't!"  Izumrud said getting up and grabbing Sarah by the waist. He lift her up despite Sarah's kicking and resistance. He dropped her on the couch and started tickling her. "You wanna laugh? Here you go!"

     "N-no please Iz!" Sarah could barely get her words out. She couldn't talk with herself laughing uncontrollably. "S-Stop please." She said in between laughs.

     "Never." Izumrud said with really no intention to stop. Suddenly a wait pushed unto his legs. He looked to see Nadiya punching his legs.

     "I'll save you!" Nadiya said heroically.

     "Oh yeah?" Izumrud picked up Nadiya ready to drop him on Sarah when he saw that Sarah wasn't there anymore. He turned only slightly when he was pushed over the couch.

     "Gotchya-woah!" Sarah was interrupted when Izumrud grabbed her hand and she went done with him.

     The three laughed together as they where pilled on each other. Izumrud loved it when these moments happened. They always distracted each other of the problems going on in their lives. The laughter ended but nobody moved. They all stayed together in the one moment, in the one place where they never wanted to leave.

     "Got anything planned?" Izumrud asked Sarah staring lovingly into her eyes. He brushed his hand through her silky strawberry blonde hair.

     "It can wait." Sarah said smiling, her eyes soft. It was a look Izumrud didn't get to see often, so ever time he saw it. He treasured it. Nadiya climbed up their legs and somehow got comfortably between them.

     "Good."
