PERSPECTIVE {Barry}

Hey, my name is Barry Allen, and you probably know me as the Flash. Yes, and not many people know. I try to keep it a secret from most people, like people I work with at the CCPD. Some of them aren't very fond of the Flash, because he takes all the jobs. But, at least he gets the job done quickly. Anyways, I'm about to tell you the story of my life, and how I met the girl of my dreams, how my speed plays into things, and all the rest of it. Get your popcorn, because this is one, long story. Enjoy.

I wake up to my alarm at 6:59 AM to get ready for work. Yes, it only take me one minute. I run and take a shower, then put my clothes on, have breakfast, brush my teeth, and make sure my hair looks okay after running all over the place. I look into the mirror and comb my fingers through my hair. I run out and into the department. I look around to make sure no one saw me. All clear. I walk upstairs, into my lab I take a seat at my desk, and think about what I can do. I think that I have some fingerprint samples to run. I get up, and walk over to my lab table. It's very neat for being myself. I spot the sample and pick it up. There was a meta attack, and this fingerprint was found at the scene. I take the fingerprint over to test it. I place it down, and let is run through to see if it matches anyone in our databases. Oh wait, I forgot to go get coffee! I run out of my lab and stop in front of Jitters. I look inside, and no one saw me. That seems to be my life now, making sure no one sees me using my speed. Am I just supposed to let everyone know that I'm the Flash? Or am I just supposed to keep doing what I'm doing now. I walk inside of Jitters, and I step in line behind this lovely lady. I stop for a second and think, wow, she is really beautiful. I snap out of it. She smiles when she takes her coffee, and she sits herself down at a table by herself. I step up to the order side.

"Hey, um, can I get a latte please, um, extra creamer." I stumble. The words just didn't want to word today.

"Yes, sir." He scribbles my words down onto the paper, and hands it to the barista. She takes a glance over it, and starts making it right away. I step over into the pick up line, so the people behind me can order. She doesn't take very long, and she hands me my drink.

"There you are." The barista says.

I smile and nod. "Thank you."

"You're welcome." She says, and then takes the next order. I walk right out of Jitters. I peer behind me, and make sure that no one is watching. Then, I speed back to CCPD. I walk back inside, then I'm stopped.

"Where were you?" Joe says, looking down at my latte.

"I was, well, I was..." I stumble. This is Joe West. He works here along with me at the CCPD.

"What, Allen?" He barks. I jump a little.

"Getting my latte that I get every morning, sir." I say softly. Sometimes, he scares me.

"Well, get to work!" He bellows. I nod, and jog up the stairs. I walk back into my lab, and walk back into my lab. There was a match for the fingerprint. Crystal Walton is her name. I have to tell Joe.

I take my sample and jog back down the stairs. I feel like such a little kid, having Joe boss me around, and I obey. I'm just scared to loose my job. Joe is the big man on campus, aka the boss. I mean I guess I have a reason to be scared then. But I'm an adult, and I shouldn't be afraid of another adult. I should be able to fend for myself.

I walk over to his office, and knock on the door.

"Officer West?" I ask.

"Come in, Allen!" He shouts. It's like he can't speak quietly. I open the door and walk in. I set the sample down on his desk.
