PERSPECTIVE {Iris}

Hello, and my name is Iris West. I work at Picture News, and I am the number one writer there. My dad is Joe West, and he is the boss at the CCPD. I lead a normal life; wake up, go to work, go home, you know the rest. I love my life. And what makes it even better is we have the Flash protecting our city. I feel so much more at home with him around. I know him too, but wait. Let me back track a little bit, and let me tell you my story. This is the story of meeting the Flash, and then falling in love with the Flash, but better known as.......enjoy the story.

I am just peacefully standing in Jitters, drinking my afternoon mocha when a man bumps right into me.

"Oh, I am so, so sorry!" He exclaims. But, I'm not too worried about it. I smile at him.

"Don't worry about it." I say, wiping it off with the napkin I was holding. "Good thing I wore a black blouse today." He laughs.

"Yeah, I guess so." He puts his arm up and behind his head, in a nervous gesture.

"So, um, what's your name, or shall I just call you clumsy?" I smile.

"My name is Barry, um, Barry Allen." He stumbles. He isn't very good at hiding his nerves.

"Nice to meet you, Barry. My name is Iris." I say, holding my hand out. He shakes it firmly.

"Well, I'll see you around Iris." He smiles. Barry walks out of Jitters and then pauses in front of the building. I blink, and then he is gone. Weird. I shake my head, and just go back up to the barista.

"Can I get another mocha?" I ask, looking down at my soaked shirt.

"Of course. I can have him pay for it. He comes here every morning." She says. Her name tag reads Ambrea.

"No, I'm fine. If he says so, then it's okay. I'll pay though."

"Okay." Ambrea says, and then she turns back and hands the order to the other barista, who starts to make my mocha. I swear this lady is the coffee goddess. She can just make any order handed to her in 30 seconds. She comes over to me with my mocha.

"There you are." She says. I look down at her tag, which says Natalie.

"Thank you, Natalie." I smile, and then go and sit down with my mocha.

I think someone may have walked in, because a gust of wind hits my face, blowing my hair behind my shoulders. Then, I see a piece of paper in front of me. It has a number on it. Interesting. I'll probably call it.

I sip my mocha, and think about my next article. Probably another one about the Flash considering that is my speciality. I'll use that incident from last night for my next story.

Flash doesn't use only his speed, but his words to stop the villains. That can be my headline. I laugh, finishing my mocha. I get up from my seat, and walk outside. It is really nice out; a slight breeze in my face. I walk back to Picture News, and sit down at my desk. I get into my computer, and begin to write my article.

I use the headline The Flash's Speed Isn't His Only Power. I start to write about the whole incident, when the villain, who says her name was Shock, was shooting laser beams all over, scaring the innocent people. Then, he zooms in, and then begins to reason with her. Then, he just runs away with her. I wonder if I could maybe get an interview with him. I'll put that in my article. I want to interview you, Flash. Please stop by and see me if you agree. Too desperate? Ehh, whatever. I'll leave it for fun. I finish up my article and print it out. I get up and go over to my boss's desk, and throw it down.
