PERSPECTIVE {Barry}

Iris invited me over for breakfast. Very delicious, indeed. Iris is a great chef. But now, things have spiced up.

Iris lays back on the couch, and I climb on-top of her. I start to kiss her passionately. I gently caress her face, and she has her arms around me.

This is all I could ever want. Me, and Iris.

Then, my phone buzzes, and it's the buzz I know all too well. I pull back from Iris quickly, picking my phone up. It says Robbery In Progress.

"I have to go, Iris. Duty calls." I say, bolting out the door. When I make it out of sight, I speed my way to Star Labs, put on my suit, and then bolt to the robbery. There, I see the man, stealing jewels. "Heya there bud. You know, I have a girlfriend now, and the last thing I want is you interrupting our special time together." I joke.

"Flash got a girlfriend?" The man snickers.

"Indeed he did, so, can I just, you know?" I say, then speed my way to him, grabbing all the jewels and returning them to their assigned spots. Then, I find a nearby rope and tie his hands together behind his back. Then, time returns to normal around me. "Do that?" I finish my sentence. The man struggles in the ropes.

"God damnit Flash!" He yells in agony.

"I'm just doing my job." I shrug. I grab him, and speed my way to Iron Heights.

"Thank you, Flash." The front desk says, and I see guards approaching with cuffs. I nod, and speedy my may back to Star Labs, and take off my suit. No one is here, which is shocking. I sit down at the computers, and look at the monitors. Nothing special going on.

I guess I could go back over to Iris's house, but I mean, I literally did that in like 4 minutes. What would she suspect? I'll just sit here, and watch over the monitors for a while. I kick my feet up on the desk, which I know Caitlin hates, so I'll do it when she isn't here. I pull out my cellphone, and I have a notification.

Message From Iris West it reads. I open up my phone and read her message.

Iris: sorry you had to go, Barry. Maybe we could have movie night? I picked out my favorite rom-com movie. ;)

I laugh. I quickly type back to her.

Me: sounds great! I'll be over at your house by 7.

Iris: okay, see you then.

I put my phone back into my pocket. I look around Star Labs, and I get up from my chair. I walk over to the treadmill. This is always what I do when I'm bored, and anyways I really need to get faster. I pull off my Star Labs sweatshirt, leaving me in my tee. I hop onto the treadmill, and set the speed for mock 2, for my warm up. The treadmill picks up speed, and I run to match up with it.

There is no greater feeling in the whole world than running. Nothing seems to matter, it's just me, running. It's so simple. I up the speed to mock 3, and start to run faster. After I warm up to that, I up it a little higher, to mock 3.5. I haven't made it to mock 4 ever, so I won't push it yet. Mock 3.5 is a little bit of a struggle, but I keep working at it. I keep my pace at mock 3.5, and I haven't fallen off yet, so I decide to up it to 3.75. I'm doing it, I'm doing it. It's s definite struggle, but I got it under control. Right as I'm about to up in to mock 4, Caitlin walks in. I slow myself down back to regular speed, and step off the treadmill.

"Hey, Barry. What speed were you up to?" She asks instantly.

"I was at mock 3.75. That was pushing my limits fully, though. Comfortably, mock 3.5." I answer, walking back into the cortex.
