CHAPTER 16- anoying old friend

Jestro's POV

She slept peacefully. The sword must drain her energy. That's my explanation. But... I felt something odd. I could tell her breathing was irregular. Non human almost. She was pale. Almost as much as my pale makeup. It had slightly stains my skin. I was happy around her.
I felt like someone was watching us. But I searched the area. Nothing was there. It was odd.
"Ugh.. Carl leave for the last time!" I heard jade shout...she was starring at a tree.
"Cmon! You can't be joking!" She stood up stumbled a bit
"So who is your friend?"
"Carl I told you to leave. And he is more than a friend!" She was too tired to talk. So I just picked up a sword and walked up to her
"What you took you so long to fight?" He raised his sword too.
"Jestro....don't. I should have not come here. I was never welcome. Also Carl take your stupid crush on me and throw it in a canyon." She was annoyed. I hate seeing her like this. I stood forwards. She tried to get me to back off. She saved me. I was going to return the favour. -wait he had a crush on her!?

Jade's POV

I hated Carl with passion. He is like lance in a way. But will do anything to get what he wants... A plan came to mind
"Wait! Carl. You could stay with us for now... But on one condition."
"And what would that be?"
"No flirting or even questioning how jestro got me." I felt slightly smug...
"Ugh...oh fine at least I am near you."
Jestro looked at me rather confused. "I will explain sweety. Come now. Clay will Be back soon"
When clay came I explains how he and Carl met. We were both children of opposite families. We went out... Well until I saw him cheat on me. I found out about a way I'd been cursed that day. I only got a riddle to work with. I think I knew what it ment. It said

Once found spell bond

Third love and
Fourth never seen

Together can cause destruction but light
One will turn but see the night.
Once you see what we saw you will
Be cursed... For ever
Until you find love
Until then you will corrupt

These words shocked everyone except Carl. Who just rolled is eyes. I knew he thought I was lieing.
"You can't believe her!? Is obviously fake!" To prove my point I cast a spell
Once blind twice death shut up cause your next
All of a sudden a black ball flew into his face. He tried to talk but couldn't.
"Ha...that's better!" We all giggled.
"So...your the one 18 years ago? Why did you attack?" Oh god he brought it up! Well no point lieing
"I could hear voices. Tempting me. Soon they took over my body. Causing me to do what I did... But of course the king had to make a big deal out of something I hardly remembered!"
"Also I should..um leave at some point. Cause if the voices come back. It could be the end..of well eany thing." Jestro was not pleased
"Why can't you stay!? We've been together through everything! And must like that were not allowed to help!?"
"I've tried everything. But no luck. And it won't change instantly."
"Well I'm sorry but I am not letting you leave!"
"AND I AM SORRY! BUT I WONT LET YOU GET IN HARMS WAY!
