Chapter 9, part 2: The Wild Werewolf

Leone pov
(Y/n): "Run..."

He suddenly started grunting and huffing like an animal on all fours. He started growing fur all over his body. At the same time, his body started changing. Looking more like a Werewolf. I took a few steps backs, and so did Sheele. (Y/n) looked weak and tired. We lock eyes for a moment. He started growling. We continue to walk backwards, while he started to walk toward us. I hit something with my ankle and notice a bag. I could tell by that nasty smell that it is raw meat. I look back to (Y/n), as he was getting closer and growling louder. I had an idea. Picked up the bag and throw it in front of (Y/n), hoping that he would take the bait. He started sniffing the bad, and started shredding it to pieces. It was chowing down on the meat like a wild beast. I finally realized that this isn't the same person I know, but the beast within the imperial arms. I took Sheele's hand and made a run for it.

Sheele: "Where are we going?! What about (Y/n)??"
Leone: "That's not (Y/n) right now. He's become a wild animal. A beast starving for blood."
Sheele: "Is that why he ran?"
Leone: "Yeah. He wanted to protect us, so he ran. We must get back to-"

I trip with a rock, and started rolling and sliding down the mountain. I finally stopped rolling, but I was in so much pain. I look at my leg and deep cut across my leg. I tried to get up, but just fell down on my butt. I look behind and saw Sheele walking down the steep terrain.

Sheele: "Leone, are you alright?!"
Leone: "Y-Y-Yeah, I-I think so. I'll get better soon in a few minutes. All I need is to walk it off."

She gave me support to get up, abd we started fast-walking away. As we ot further and further away, a roaring-howl from the mountain echo throughout the area.

Leone: "Not good... Move Sheele!"

We move as fast as possible. After ten minutes I started running on my own, but I was still limping. I could hear the running steps of the (Y/n) getting closer. I stopped and faced the direction he's coming.

Sheele: "Leone?"
Leone: "I'll buy you some time. Go warn the others."
Sheele: "But..."
Leone: "Go! I can handle him." I hope...

I look behind and I saw Sheele already far in the distance.

Leone: Please hurry. I don't know how long I can hold him back.

I started looking around. I couldn't hear his steps anymore, it was dead silent. I couldn't even hear insects, just the wind. I look in front of me and could barely see big shadow figure. As I focus on the figure, I noticed two glowing orbs. Then I started hearing a low growl and heavy breathing. The beast came out of hiding slowly, walking on its two hind legs. It was staring into my eyes, almost like looking into my soul.

Leone: "I'm sorry, but I'm gonna have to hurt you."

He charged straight at me about to claw me with his right. I dashed back, dodging the attack. It immediately use his left to get me. I move my head under it, countering the attack, I use all my strength and punch him in the stomach region. He was pushed back a few feet away, but it didn't faze him one bit, he was just standing there ready to attack again. He jumps up high and attacks me from above. I try to dodge again but he grab my leg and smash to the ground. I struggle to get up. He grabbed my neck from behind and lifted me up. I was getting choked to death. I try to escape from his grip, but (Y/n) is just too strong. I took a chance and bite his hand, and surprisingly he released. I dropped to the floor trying to recover. I get up, turned around, and dash at him to land a punch. I punch him on the side of his face, but it didn't affect him, he hits me on the back sending me away and crash against a tree. I was laying on the floor all weak and pathetic. I keep trying to get up, but I was feeling an excruciating pain on my back. I reach behind to touch my back and it sting like hell. I look at my hand and see that is cover in blood. I see (Y/n) walking to me, showing his fangs.
