Jihae slowly stepped out of the steamy shower. It had been awfully quiet since they got back home. Maybe Taehyung was sorting through everything he bought?
After drying her hair and getting dressed into sweatpants and a baggy shirt, Jihae went into the bedroom beside hers. The door was ajar.
"TaeTae, are you in there?"
Silence.
"TaeTae, I'm coming in..." Jihae pushed the door open.
She gasped. Clothes were strewn across the bed and on the hardwood floor. Shopping bags spilled out more accessories and designer items every inch of the hotel room. The door wouldn't even open all the way.
"Hae-ssi, is that you?" Taehyung called from the bathroom.
"Who else would it be?" She replied, her eyes still wide.
"Never mind the disaster," Taehyung apologized. "Can you help me do this up?"
Jihae stepped over an expensive bag and made her way to the bathroom where she found Taehyung. She carefully buttoned up the two buttons on his collared shirt.
"How do I look?" He turns around, adjusting the collar around his neck.
"Same as usual, TaeTae,"
"That's a good thing, right?"
"Well, yeah..."
"You hesitated! Great, now I have to return this..."
"No, no... Tae you look handsome, it's fine..."
"But I always look handsome,"
"How much did you spend this time?"
"Seven hundred thousand won,"
"For the whole outfit??"
"No, just for the shirt,"
Jihae pinched the bridge of her nose. "Taehyung-ssi, you're so extra,"
"That's not even that special,"
"What?"
"Nevermind, Jagi," Jihae loved that whenever he laughed his eyes became more defined.
"Never change, Taehyung-ssi," she hugged him tightly. "Do you need help... you know..." she gestured toward the avalanche of clothes."
"That's alright, Hae-ssi," he replies, combing his hair back. "But I might have to sleep downstairs, my bed is, occupied... haha,"
"Sleep in my room," Jihae offered.
"Really?"
"Yes, really. It's late, and I don't want you bitching about how you didn't sleep well."

~Hey
Jihae got a text from an unknown number.
-sorry who is this?
~you forgot about me already?
~it's LayJihae's heart skipped a beat. She felt weird sleeping beside Taehyung and now Lay was texting her.
-oh hey, what's up?
~I'm up
~and so are you-lol
~so what brings you to Osaka?
Jihae didn't want to tell him the reason why. She paused for a moment.
-well I came here to...
Suddenly, Taehyung's arm draped over her shoulders, as if he were telling her to text Lay the truth.
"What are you doing, Jagi?" Taehyung moaned.
Jihae turned off her phone, leaving Lay on read. She couldn't do this. Not to Taehyung. Not after all this.
Jihae wrapped her arms around him. "Texting, but not anymore." She leaned in closer.
"I'm still waiting for that kiss you promised me,"
"I didn't promise anything,"
"Fair enough," he studied at her face for the longest time.
"What is it, TaeTae?" Jihae felt bad. The look on his face looked heartbroken.
"Nothing, I'll sleep now,"
"No, Tae-ssi, talk to me..." Jihae set her phone down.
He fake yawned and rolled over on his side. "Good night Jihae."
"TaeTae... don't be like this, please."
"I'm kidding, Hae-ssi," he rolled back over and stared at her face again.
"Do you ever wonder what your hyungs are doing?"
Taehyung looked up at the ceiling. "All the time,"
Jihae looked up at the ceiling as well. "Which hyung do you think of the most?"
"Hoseok," Taehyung said without hesitation. "I miss him the most and I can't stop thinking of him."
Jihae thought of when she got to meet him at the airport. "Hoseok..." she repeated.
"Always smiling, always cheerful, always making everyone laugh," Taehyung smiled to himself.
"He never looked sad," Jihae mentioned.
"That's the thing," Taehyung closed his eyes. "That's the thing. He only looked happy. On the inside..." Taehyung faced Jihae. "... well, that's another story,"
Jihae glanced back at Taehyung. "Was it bad?"
"He fought a hard battle..." Taehyung remembered the container of pills he found stashed away in Hoseok's top dresser when they were roommates. One night, he woke up to the sound of a drawer being opened, the rattling of a container, and the sound of the cap popping off.
Jihae hugged him tighter. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked,"
He held her hand. "That's alright," he looked up at the ceiling again.
Jihae leaned in closer to his face. Their lips were inches apart.
"Here," she closed the gap and kissed him softly.
