Chapter Thirty-One

The wedding crept closer and closer. I had everything planned, everything done, except my dress.  Ben and I sent out invites, we chose our location, time, cake, ect. I had my bridesmaids, we had everything ordered. Except my dress.

The wedding was a week away. Today, I needed to get a dress. Quinn and Annette would be going with me. I needed the most advise possible, I had cloudy judgment from excitement.

"What about this one?" I asked, picking a dress off the rack.

"No, you know you don't want anything too puffy." Quinn said, putting the dress back. She was right, I didn't want too puffy, and it was puffy as hell.

I picked out another one. It had long, lacey sleeves, and a straight flow. I put it back after looking at it long enough. I didn't want something straight flowing.

"Em, this is so your taste." Quinn said, taking one off another rack.

I looked at it. It was strapless and jeweled at the top. It had a pink sash. I frowned, it was beautiful, but it didn't feel right. I shook my head. Quinn put the dress back.

"What about this one?" Annette asked, handing me a sheer sleeved dress. I shook my head again.

I walked around some more. I wanted a dress that was strapless, puffy but not too puffy, but not too straight, and had loose ruffling. I wanted a dress that when Ben saw me in it, his breath would be taken away. I wanted a dress that I would walk down the aisle in, and everyone would think, "Wow."

Then, I saw it. The perfect dress. It had everything I wanted. I had to try it on.

"Found it." I said and Annette and Quinn looked up.

I went to the dressing room and tried it on. I walked out and stood in front of Annette and Quinn. Their mouths dropped. I looked in the mirror. I looked beautiful.

"That's the one, that's the perfect dress." Annette said.

I smiled as I looked at myself in the three way mirror. I loved the dress, it was the one I wanted Ben to see me in. I twirled in front of the mirror. I wish Ben could see me in the dress now, but it's bad luck.

I changed back into my clothes. I bought the dress. I would have to hide the dress from him, but that should be easy.

I looked down at the ring on my finger. I couldn't believe that the wedding was a week away. I was going to be getting married in seven days...
