A/N: Just saying, I think my writing style has evolved over the years and I apologize if it has been inconsistent throughout this story.
Also, I'm trying to make advancements with the fanfic storyline instead of simply going with the original plot, so I'll be brief with some things I feel there isn't a need to repeat, this chapter might seem a bit summarized compared to the others.

"I thought the priest would be a lot older, since I was told that it was my uncle Yu-hon that drove them out of the palace."
"Well, my predecessor was, but I've replaced him." Iku-su replied sheepishly to Yona, but it felt that his answer was directed at Ryuu doubts.
"After all, that all happened almost 30 years ago."
Ryuu wanted to hit herself in the head. Of course she wouldn't have recognized the man standing before her, how long ago had she made an acquaintance with a priest? He could have easily been Iku-su's predecessor's predecessor! A con of being immortal was that sometimes you lose track of time.
"So you knew I would be coming here?" Yona asked.
"Sure did," Iku-su said as he crossed his fingers into a praying gesture, "It is my job to share the voice of god with everyone. God teaches me about the things that are going on around the world, and I pray that everyone will live happy lives."
Yun once again wouldn't let the priest be in his own bubble for long without interrupting him by throwing a towel onto his head, "It's not even much of a job, you don't even make any money, all you do is pray! And look at you, you're still covered in mud, hurry up and get changed!"
"Also, it's exactly all the fishy talk about 'voices of god' that got you guys kicked out of the palace!"
"Why were the priests kicked out?" Yona once again asked in confusion. All the conversation between the two strange males before her was leaving her in the dark. Ryuu wasn't surprised Yona didn't know, it was the pampered princess after all, she and blamed this more on the late King Il rather than the princess herself.
Yun on the other hand was not as calm as Ryuu was. The boy with the pretty face seemed to be harsh with his words.
"What, you lived in the palace and you didn't know?"
Yona went silent. Ryuu didn't sense another headache, so she knew the princess was starting to change, in a good way of course. Unlike back in the palace, perhaps the series of events have made Yona realize that not everyone was obliged to be on her side no matter what happens.
Ryuu placed a hand on Yona's back. In the meantime, Yun managed to chase Iku-su off for a shower to clean off the mud.
"It's okay, princess. Your father always disliked violence, of course he wouldn't have told you. But in the past, priests of the country had a lot of power and authority over matters that even the king of the country couldn't oppose to. They were seen as the servants of god. Naturally, kings would resent that authority priests held."
"Or at least, that was the story they announced to the public," She added.
"But that... Does that mean they were driven out by violence?"
"It was more than violent," Yun continued, "The temple was destroyed... and many priests were arrested and executed. Yu-hon did all that because he found priests to be a threat to his throne, and needed them out of his way. Iku-su was really young when it all happened, he was still a priest in training."
Yona looked at Ryuu in disbelief, and the supposed male nodded, indicating that whatever Yun said was true. An information like this would have traumatized the princess in the past, but it seemed like Yona now was able to look past that into something greater...
