"Heh, so the Fire Tribute is going all the way this time. Blocking the river, getting rid of the merchants, knowing well that their Elder can't fight back." Ryuu muttered to herself as she jumped onto the roof of Hak's house, analysing the situation and at the same time watching over her Mistress. Though she knows it well that the villagers doesn't serve as a threat to the princess, no harm being taking precautions right? Besides, she could listen in to their conversations quietly without having to be a participant.

"So, Mun Deok, what will you do? Let Soo-won be the king and allow Hak to be framed as the person behind King Il's death? Or stubbornly refuse to crown Soo-won king, which will probably result in more of your people getting hurt."

She wasn't speaking to anyone in particular, simply organising her opinions by reciting them aloud to herself. It was a lose-lose situation in the favour of the Fire Tribute however dirty they decided to play it, and Ryuu was interested to see what Mun-deok will do. After all, she had been around enough to see that the old man was a man of good judgement, and this choice was not an easy one to make. Well, it didn't matter to Ryuu very much either, so she wasn't particularly worried about the outcome(so long as the princess doesn't get hurt). You could think of it as nothing more than simply another show life has to offer.

'Seems like the old man is having some problems in there.' Ryuu thought as she heard the commotion inside the house. More villages were standing around the residential of their Elder, waiting for the old man's signal for war with the Fire Tribute. That is to be expected after all. In the eyes of a normal person, there was no reason that the Wind Tribute should just sit still and let the Fire Tribute trample over themselves. Just as Ryuu was debating if she should step in to check on the princess, a man's voice, who she recognized as Hak's, spoke.

"You guys, listen up. I understand your rage, but the Fire Tribute is backed up by a fair amount of manpower. I won't allow anyone to start a war with them now. I will definitely do something about this matter. It's not like us to just shrivel up just because the river has dried up. Just think of it that you have entrusted your lives to me, and sit there and wait quietly. These are the orders of Son Hak, Chief of the Wind Tribute!"

"Heeh~" Ryuu felt herself grin. "And who was the one so reluctant to take over his tribute a while before?"

True enough, her thoughts were backed up by the various comments that followed.

"Did you hear that? The young lord gave us orders."

"Lord Hak..."

"The Lord Hak that said becoming the general would be too much work-"

With that speech of Hak's, one by one, the villages slowly started to leave the building, still gossiping about Hak and his command as the Wind Tribute's Chief. Some said he was finally growing up and starting to take responsibility, while others went on about how Hak was a man that rarely acknowledges his position as the village chier, but actually does things right when it comes to it. Most were positive comments, seeing as how Hak is really popular with his tribute. It was not until late at night where the commotion had calmed down a little and the crowd has scattered, so Ryuu jumped down from her spot on the roof and into the building, placing an extra effort in making sure that no one saw her in the process of doing so. Walking pass one of the only well-lit rooms, Ryuu poked a hole through the paper window and took a peek into the room. What came to sight in the small hole that her finger created was a pale, sick-looking Tae-yeon, sound asleep. Beside him was princess Yona, kneeling beside him with a worried expression and Hak was leaning against the wall, standing a distance away from the other two in the room.
