The days began to gradually get hotter, and I found myself waking up every morning sticky with perspiration. My hair was starting to get stringy since it was growing so long, and because it was just thin to begin with. My mom told me I needed a haircut, but I refused, wanting my hair to grow to the fullest length. I got in the shower on a Saturday morning, ready to go over to Lexi's for yoga. That was her new obsession excercise. She loved it, for reasons unknown to me. I personally didn't care for it, twisting your body into unnatural positions just wasn't my thing. But, since she had just gotten a new interactive video game with yoga lessons on it, she was hooked.

I turned on the faucet, and the water sprayed out of the showerhead. I then realized how sticky the heat had made me. Or maybe....

I stepped out and looked at myself in the mirror. I couldn't believe my eyes.

My hair was covered in a sticky blue solution, and there were large clumps of it stuck together. I immediately knew that Lexi had gotten me back.

"LEXANDRA NOELLE BLACKWELL!" I screamed into the walkie- talkie.

"Mmm," she replied casually.

"YOU PUT A JOLLY RANCHER IN MY SHOWER HEAD!!"

"Your favorite flavor, did you notice?" she asked.

I was shaking in anger. I had pranked her, but definately not anything like this.

"AHHH!" I screamed into the walkie-talkie, and I threw it across the room. Then, I ran across the hall to the guest bathroom, where I tried to wash the melted candy out of my hair. I managed to get the sticky clumps out, but my hair was looking a little blue. I twirled a strand of it between my fingers, sad that my beautiful blonde hair was dyed.

I threw on a blue t-shirt, which only seemed to bring my hair out even more, so I changed into a pink one. Then, I pulled on some shorts, and I ran downstairs and out my back door. I charged all the way through my backyard, and burst into Lexi's house, where I saw her waiting at the kitchen table with a tube of toothpaste and a bucket of water.

I looked at her sadly, trying to make her feel guilty.

"C'mon Anne, don't be so blue, " she said.

Not a smart move. I walked calmly over to her, and picked up the bucket of water.

"Anne, be careful with that," she warned. "I am gonna use it to wash your hair. Now, sit down," she said.

I reluctantly placed it back down, and took a seat. Lexi squeezed a good amount of the minty toothpaste in her hand, and she ran it through my hair. When she had it all scrubbed in, I lowered my head into the bucket, and she rinsed it out. Eventually, my hair returned to its natural color.

"C'mon. Admit it was funny."

"No."

Lexi started laughing. "Okay, maybe not at the time, but now that it is all out, wasn't it a good prank?"

I sighed.

Lexi was satisfied with that.

"Good. Now, let's do some yoga!"
