Perfect , that's how you felt when you went out with Theo. Maybe you weren't skinny like all the other girls but even if you have had a few more pounds, they never made you look bad. You looked extremely good and even if everybody told you that, you were still insecure about yourself and your body , but Theo just made you forget about this. He was great and you actually fell in love with him but you didn't feel like it was the moment to tell him. Maybe it was to fast for him or maybe it was just you being shy but you knew that you won't tell him soon.
Today was perfect! You recieved good grades at school and later that day you and Theo had planned to go out. You tried to adjust your make up in the girls bathroom when Malia came in. She was beautiful, slim, with a beautiful heart shaped face, little nose, full lips and mesmerizing brown eyes. (no wonder Stiles likes her so much)
" Hi!" you greeted and she smiled at you, she pulled out her mascara and applied it on her lashes.
" I heard that you're going out with Theo. Is that true?" She asked and you stopped from applying eyeliner on your eyelids.
" Yes , it's true." You affirmed as heat enveloped your cheek and soon you found yourself blushing.
" Everly, I don't want you to take the things that I'm going to tell to you as a threat nor you to believe that I don't want you to be happy, but are you sure that Theo really likes you? Are you 100 percent sure that he isn't just playing with you?" She asked her voice soft and worried. You never thought about this.
" I don't know what to say." you muttered in a soft yet hurt voice.
" I love you Everly, I just don't want you to get hurt." She affirmed and hugged you before she left . You felt as if a car had hit you. Your head was spinning and insecurities crept upon your mind and soul. You looked at yourself in the mirror and couldn't find the strength to stop crying. Hot tears rolled down your cheeks and you wiped them off your face.
As you exited the school you went home alone, lots of thoughts running through your head. When you arrived at you house you went straight to your bedroom and finished your homework. Your phone rang a few hours later and you looked at it to see who was calling. It was Theo.
" So ready to go out? I'll be by your house in ten minutes." He affirmed and you wished to smile and tell him that you couldn't wait to see him but you weren't able to do that.
" Actually I can't today, I have to do a lot of homework and it will take a good part of the evening." Lying wasn't something good but sometimes you needed to do things that weren't good.
" What if I come and help you, we can have a study night." he proposed and it seemed appealing to you but still. What if Malia was right?
" No, Theo, I need to do this alone." Theo felt disappointed he just wanted to see you and to hang out because he really liked you. He just wished that you guys wouldn't grow apart because he always wished to be there with you.
" Okay, then I'll let you study. We will talk tomorrow about when we can go out. Bye!" Theo said and you canceled the phone call not able to take it any longer. You climbed into your bed and silently cried with your head buried in a pillow.
You tried to avoid Theo as much as you could in the next days. You would always be with someone or be in a rush so you'd never give Theo time to stop you but it didn't seemed to work anymore , as you got out of your class Theo was there. He grabbed your wrist and pulled you in one of the empty classrooms.
" Why don't you talk to me anymore?" Theo asked after he closed the door. You could feel how tense he was and the pure rage that escaped from every cell in his body made you tremble.
" I'm just busy, Theo." you whispered and he came closer to you.
" I can tell when you're lying Everly and I know that you're doing it right now. Just tell me what's wrong? Why won't you talk to me anymore? I thought you liked me." he confessed and your heart broke . To say that you liked him was a lie, you loved him but what if he was just playing with you?
" It's nothing Theo." you affirmed and tried to get past him but he took a firm grip on your shoulders.
" No, you're not leaving until you tell me what's wrong." Theo brought you in his arms and held you softly. " Please tell me what's wrong Everly! I don't want us to fall apart." his words brought tears to your eyes. You loved this man so much.
" I'm sorry." You whispered as you hid your face in his chest and let the tears fall down. " I thought that maybe you just wanted to play with me. I'm so sorry." You muttered and Theo couldn't do anything else but just pull you in his arms and hold you tight.
" You don't have to be sorry, it's alright." he assured you before he pulled your head from his chest and kissed your lips gently.
