There's no quote to describe the spiral that occurs,
when you shut yourself down.
Or words to describe the pain you feel,
when you shut yourself down,
because you realize the person just kept going.
Even when they said they wouldn't.
And it becomes more then just an emotional pain
It becomes a physical pain.
The aching in my muscles as I move around,
the swollen eyes from another dream
that made me wake up crying.
The pain in the chest,
of my broken heart sobbing.
But that's the whole reason why you shut yourself down.
So you don't feel the emotional pain along with it,
only physical.
As you move through life,
more robotic then human.
