She's lost her fear of the darkness,
instead she found a friend in it.
So the demons came again,
filing in,
crawling from under the beds,
and entering from closets.
She welcomed them,
offered them cookies.
And dared them,
to make her laugh.
So come watch the show
of your worst nightmares
cracking jokes and somersaulting.
Trying to make her laugh,
till they did,
her laughs echoing in the middle of the night
They'll chill your blood,
and make you smile.
Hope you come again
she whispered to the demons as morning came
and they left.
Only to come back the next night.
Welcome back,
let's get the show started.
